    Lamellen Lodge is a charming Victorian Gate Lodge at the entrance to Lamellen Estate and the private drive up to the main house. Two large bedrooms with views over the River Allen and the garden to the rear of the property and a smaller single, a kitchen/dining room with all facilities and a comfortable living room with a cosy wood burner and relaxing sofas. To the rear of the property is a private patio area, surrounded on three sides by the River Allen which winds around the house giving a magical feel of living on an island.
    With excellent access to the A39 all of the delights of the north Cornwall coast are within easy reach, the golden sandy beaches are plentiful from Trebarwith Strand to Newquay and you are thoroughly spoilt for choice. The quaint fishing village of Port Isaac is 10 minutes away and is famed for being an artist’s retreat and a film location for the likes of Doc Martin and Poldark. Padstow, and Rock, on the opposite bank of the Camel Estuary, are both well worth a visit and there are a plethora of restaurants to suit all tastes from Michelin starred fine dining to cosy Cornish pubs with great home cooked food. The courtyard is shared with the Owners’ property although there is a separate area for the cottage. The cottage has been fully refurbished in 2022 and retains a huge amount of character including a wonderful huge fireplace with a cosy wood burner.

Recently, new buildings have replaced the old and the farm has been moved away. The Property has views up the Allen valley and the garden, mostly grass and shrubs, is about 2 acres. There is a fence along the River Allen, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Little House is just yards from the ‘Mineral Tramways Trail’, one of Cornwall’s many cycle networks that links the north coast at Portreath to the South coast near Falmouth. A cycle hire centre, shop and café are approximately 1 mile from the front door, right on the trail itself. The world famous Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Lizard Peninsula, which is the location of Lizard Point and the most southerly point of the country, are all easily accessible from the property. The ancient seafaring town of Falmouth is approx 6 miles away, and provides an excellent centre for many activities such as sailing, windsurfing, pleasure trips and diving.
