- Falmouth, EnglandGribbas Cottage is a delightful cottage, full of character and a lovely place for a couple to stay in South West Cornwall. The living room centres around a large fireplace with a big granite lintel, the ceiling is beamed, and the room is full of character making this a lovely comfortable room to relax in after a busy day. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up a holiday feast, why not enjoy dinner al fresco in the sunny, south facing garden. Upstairs is a very sizeable bathroom and a double bedroom with an iron frame bed. The cottage is a great escape for couples looking for a reasonably central location in this part of Cornwall. Dog friendly with an enclosed garden, and lovely local walks.
Ideally placed for exploring the Lizard, yet close to Falmouth and the north Helford area and within easy reach of the north coast. Great cycling can be had on the superb Bissoe Trail, the old mining tramway and runs from the south to north coast. It is a great way to see this fascinating landscape, steeped in industrial heritage.
A short distance inland from Perranporth, St. Agnes and Chapel Porth are the Victorian towns of Camborne and Redruth - both produced world-class inventors and engineers. The harbour town of Falmouth is within a short drive with several attractions for the visitor. There is the fascinating National Maritime Museum, or you can take a boat trip around the spectacular Carrick Roads.
