Cardigan is the nearest town from here where you can find the most unique shops and places to eat. Day trips to New Quay, Aberaeron and especially to the coastal resort of Tenby is a must, within the walled town you can wander the cobbled streets and take in the delights this town has to offer and enjoy fish and chips on the harbour wall. The Patch near Gwbert is a small sandy beach on the Teifi Estuary with a Site of Special Scientific Interest (flora) nearby. For seafarers, bird and marine life lovers boat trips leave from the pontoon on the beach (in season).

Nearby is the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran, which runs along the banks of the River Teifi, made famous for coracle fishing.
