Whilst being within a few seconds walk on a private walk way to the hustle and bustle of Tintagel Village, you can still enjoy the peaceful serenity that Mews Cottage offers being in a small secluded area from the village. Mews has a free parking permit available which is provided by the owners.
    The historical cottage, built around the 1890’s and was a former stables for a local Inn, feels bright and stylish whilst maintaining the rustic feel of the property. After an action-packed day exploring the coast, enter into the kitchen/dining area where you will find everything you need to enjoy a self-catered break. Head into the spacious lounge where you can unwind on the comfortable seating, watch a film on the smart TV whilst enjoying the glows of the electric wood burner in the background. This warm and light room has double doors which lead into the enclosed courtyard area which can create a fresh and airy feel throughout the entire day. Perfect for enjoying the warm Cornish evenings or a morning coffee. An absolute sun trap. Upstairs are two cosy bedrooms, wonderfully presented with high apexed ceilings displaying exposed wooden beams.     Mews Cottage is just a few steps from the main street, with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and Tintagel Castle, the mythical home of King Arthur. There is also a good bus serivce in Tintagel so you have the option of leaving the car. The coast is within a 10-minute walk and the nearest beach at Bossiney Cove is just 1.3 miles away or a 25-minute walk across the fields. Within easy reach are the coastal villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac, the latter made famous by the TV series, ’Doc Martin’. Further along the coast are the golden, sandy beaches of Rock and Polzeath. Plenty of walking and local paths perfect for the family, and prime dog walking places on the doorstep of Mews Cottage. Trebarwith Strand a 10 minutes drive is a perfect beach for this, dog friendly all year round, but is also accessable via the coastal path past St Materiana’s church.     This superbly spacious, lodge-style static caravan is nestled within a popular holiday park located within a fantastic area, a few miles from some of the most iconic beaches on the North Cornwall coast.     Just 10 minutes away is Newquay, a thriving coastal town and mecca for water sports, most notably surfing. There is a plethora of shops, a zoo, golf course and all weather aquarium. Set off inland and find the world famous Eden Project, an incredible world underneath huge biomes, including the world’s largest indoor rainforest. Pendeen is full of industrial history, situated within the Lands’ End peninsula World Heritage Site and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Discover the history of the Cornish Miners at Geevor or Levant tin mines (featured in BBC ‘Poldark’ series), explore the atmospheric engine houses at Botllack and Crowns engine houses. There is an old arsenic works huddled at the base of dramatic cliffs, as well as ancient sites such as Carn Kenidjack to wander around.
    Most people come to Cornwall for the beaches, and you won’t be disappointed, choose from long stretches of golden sand to small, sheltered coves. The nearest is Portheras Cove between Pendeen and Morvah, only accessible by walking. If you want to surf, check the latest surf reports for the best beaches. A mile from Pendeen is the Pendeen Lighthouse, a great place to start a coastal walk from, other options would be to walk from Geevor Tin Mine, Levant Mine, discover Cape Cornwall, St Just and Penzance.
    For gardeners Trengwainton Garden in Madron is a must to visit, exotic trees and shrubs make this a magical place to explore. Whatever your budget there is plenty to do and see in the area, good bus routes allow you to visit towns such as Hayle, St Ives and Penzance.     Place Barton is located high on a ridge on St Anthony Headland and is part of the Place Estate, this is the perfect place to escape from reality there are few better places to enjoy the true beauty of the idyllic Roseland Peninsula. Surrounded by rolling rural landscapes, stunning walks with the best views of St Mawes, Place House, Pendennis Castle, Falmouth and the Carrick Roads. Explore St Anthony Head and the Lighthouse, famously used as the base for the TV series Fraggle Rock and also Molunan Beaches which are right by the lighthouse. As a bonus you can take the car down a private lane to within a couple of hundred yards of the beach, closer if you bring a 4x4, and are confident of its off-roading capability.
