The Tamar Valley Trail is a favourite for walkers and cyclists. Tavistock, 3 miles, has pannier and farmers markets, shops, restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and a live music venue. Horse riding, fishing, canoeing, boat trips and even a train from Calstock into Plymouth are some of the things you can try whilst staying here. There are two supermarkets in Haverstock, which is 2 miles away and the nearest petrol garage is just a mile from Badger Cottage.
