Step through the original front door into the living/dining room, be sure to mind your head as the ceilings have been kept to the traditional height. It’s the perfect spot to cosy up on the plush sofa or snuggle in the armchair and watch the roar of the open fire in the inglenook fireplace. Head through to the bedroom where you will find a spacious super kingsize bed (can be made into twins upon request), plus a fabulous window seat to sit on and read a book or watch the daily village life! Off the living room, head through to the more modern extension that houses the kitchen and shower room. The kitchen comes extremely well equipped with everything you could possible need during your stay, whether you are creating a sumptuous meal or a light snack! Outside, you have your own section of the owner’s large garden to enjoy, with table and chairs to enjoy an al fresco breakfast or a sundowner after a busy day exploring the area.
Hazel Cottage is located in the peaceful village of Briantspuddle (twice voted Dorset’s best kept small village) with direct access to a vast network of countryside footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes, ideal for exploring the beautiful countryside be it woodland, heathland or riverside.
Speaking of the area, there is so much to see and do nearby, you will need to book another stay to fit it all in! Within a 10-minute drive you have Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre, The Tank Museum,Clouds Hill (the rural retreat of T.E Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia), Thomas Hardy’s Cottage, Sculpture by the Lakes and Athelhampton House and Gardens. A 20-minute drive will take you to the world famous Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, or inland to Dorchester with its museum and Duchy village of Poundbury.
The beaches of Weymouth and Bournemouth are both within a 45-minute drive of Hazel Cottage. Weymouth has on offer its Sea Life Centre, sandy beach and traditional town and harbour, while Bournemouth has its wonderful pier, fabulous beach and a myriad of restaurants to explore. Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world, is worth a visit as is Corfe Castle and Swanage.

There is a private patio area with French doors leading from both the living area and the spacious kitchen/dining room.
With so much to do in the area you won’t be short of places to visit, such as Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum. Close to the Jurassic Coast, you cannot miss a visit to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Also well worth a visit is St Nicholas’ Church in Moreton, one of the few places where you can see Laurence Whistler’s stain glass windows and is also the final resting place of the adventurer Lawrence of Arabia. After your day of exploring you can come back to your tranquil holiday home and walk just around the corner for your evening meal and a drink at the pub. Beach 5¼. Norden House is a beautiful, detached Georgian farmhouse and is the ideal location for you and your family or friends to get together. There is a spacious dining room for everyone to have dinner together, and a large living area which can be split into two by closing the French doors between. The downstairs bedroom has facilities for the less mobile and an en-suite wet room. Upstairs are four double bedrooms and two twin rooms, all of which are also en-suite.
Outside the property are large lawned grounds containing a fantastic pavilion, which has an outstanding fire pit, making it a suitable place to relax in all year round. There is enough seating for 14 guests inside, and further seating on the patio if you wish to be outside enjoying the weather.
Located within the Norden Farm Estate, which is a working farm open to the public, is a well-stocked farm shop where you can buy all your essentials, as well as local produce. Norden House is situated just outside of the village of Corfe Castle, known as the gateway to the Purbecks. This pretty village offers a pub and a variety of local shops; it is also known for the National Trust Site featuring the 100-year-old ruins of Corfe Castle. You can take a steam train from the village to the seaside town of Swanage with its sandy beaches, fish and chip shops and beachfront arcade.
There are many days out nearby including Bovington Tank Museum, Durlston Country Park and Monkey World. You can visit the UNESCO Heritage Jurassic Coast with the popular destinations such as Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. There are also fantastic coastal walks with breathtaking views, and if you search in the right places, you may find a fossil or two. It is the perfect holiday home for your celebrations. From award winning beaches to attractions such as boat trips and water sports the whole family will enjoy themselves. Poole Harbour is approx. 15-minute drive from Holly Hedge Farm which lays claim to the title of the second largest natural harbour in the world after Port Jackson, Sydney, this is a place of natural beauty with trips running daily to the famous Brownsea Island. Keep the eyes peeled for a red squirrel. For the golfer among us Bulbury Woods Golf Club is approximately 1-minute drive from the property where you will find a tree lined course for all abilities to enjoy.
