Magnificent floor to ceiling windows bring the outside in with enviable views of the Malvern Hills. If you are lucky enough to stay on Bonfire Night, the hills light up, glitter and sparkle all evening, it’s rather unique and special. Don’t worry if it’s a chilly evening either, as the underfloor heating and huge wood burner will keep you all toasty and warm inside. Should you want to get out and explore, just a 10-minute drive is the market town of Ledbury, where you will find an array of independent coffee shops, local produce and handful of traditional pubs. Weston Cider is worth a visit, the kids can play at the adventure park whilst you sample and pick a tipple or two for the fridge. Don’t forget to pack your walking boots as Malvern Spa is just 7 miles up the road with its picturesque walks over the Malvern Hills and many bohemian independent shops. The cathedral city of Gloucester is just a short drive in the other direction, with its Victorian docks and designer retail outlet.
For some thrill-seeking adventures head to the Forest of Dean with its cycle tracks, and high rope Go Ape attraction (20 minutes away) with the Treetop Challenge and Forest Segways. Canoeing is within 30 minutes with the glorious Symonds Yat on the River Wye. Kayaking and paddle boarding also available at the Forest of Dean. Visit Eastnor Castle with family events include steam days, have a go at archery and circus days. Steam railways close by, and caving and off road driving for the thrill seekers too.

Perfectly located to enjoy a trip to the ancient cathedral and historic docks of Gloucester, and approximately half an hour’s drive from Cheltenham’s festivals and regency promenade for a spot of designer shopping and fine dining. There are excellent walks and mountain biking trails directly from the farm to May Hill and the surrounding area.
The Red Lion pub is just 5 minute’s walk, The Leaf café and garden centre 3-minute walk. May Hill brewery, Longhope bakery and Harts Barn craft centre just a 5-minute drive. There’s an outstanding restaurant and wet fish counter at Severn Wye smokery, Chaxhill (10-minute drive). Also, a private chef can be arranged from Harts Barn cookery school if required. It is also close to the International Centre for birds of prey and the Three Choirs Vineyard nearby for a spot of bird watching followed by some wine tasting. Within easy reach of the picturesque Wye Valley, including Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat. Adrenalin junkies are well catered for too, in Gloucester you have the dry ski slope for a day of boarding or tobogganing, off road cycling and treetop rope adventures to be found within the Forest of Dean. Paddle boarding is a firm favourite and available at Gloucester Docks and the picturesque Symonds Yat on the Wye River.

Welcome to this beautiful four-bedroom detached house situated in a peaceful setting, nestled down a quiet little road. This hidden little gem has been extended and decorated to a very good spec to provide everything you need for your stay; it’s a modern house wrapped up in its characterful Cotswold cottage charm. Behind the house are the beautiful woods in which you can spend hours wandering around and breathing in the beautiful fresh air and stunning views, or even head off on the Cotswold Way.
Pop into the little village community shop for a cuppa and put your feet up for 5 minutes; this community-run shop has been running for twenty-plus years, by volunteers who will welcome you with open arms. The village pub is at the end of the road serving pizza and a pint for £10! Enjoy a long walk from the house to the famous Woolpack pub, a great friendly place serving food and drinks. This pub was recently discovered by Giles Coren as the pub with the most beautiful view, this is poet Laurie Lee’s favourite and most frequented pub and is still home to his walking stick. Another thing to note is the famous Saturday farmers market which is bursting with many delights, including Stroud Smokery and the delicious Pippins doughnuts (you’ll definitely get six!) or try a delicious falafel wrap from Funky Falafel.
It’s a stroll downhill to get there or there are regular buses from the end of the road. Location is everything! So, if you’re looking to explore, there is so much to do, Cheltenham for shops, restaurants and of course the races. Gloucester Cathedral for Harry Potter fans, Cirencester, Tetbury (full of antique shops), Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre and Westonbirt Arboretum are all great places for the family, whilst Bristol is just 30 minutes down the road.
