The Cottage has commanding, stunning views across the English Channel. This attractive, spacious, family home for all seasons is the ideal property for a relaxing holiday with both friends or relatives.

There is a private hot tub at The Cottage, and the property offers 2 games rooms, 1 in the house with children’s toys, a library, games and 2 table football tables. There is a large, second games room in the garage next to the house which offers a number of activities including: table tennis, pool table, darts, bows and arrows, basketball (outside the garage). These games rooms also feature a kitchenette with a fridge, and seating area with a large sofa, ideal for all ages. Please note this games room is not heated.
A decked terrace runs the length of the property, an ideal spot for soaking up the sun or relax after a brisk winter walk in front of a glowing log burner in the cosy living room, overlooking the frothing waves. Four of the six bedrooms have sea views and the other two have attractive garden views.
The white chalk cliff above St Margaret’s Bay is said to be the first place the sun reaches each morning on mainland Britain! The beach is famous for being the closest point to France and is the spot where Channel swimmers begin their marathon 21 mile swim.
The village itself offers good pubs, restaurants and local shop within walking distance. The coastal path leads to the famous White Cliffs of Dover, gateway to England and now one of the UK’s protected Heritage coasts offering some of the best cliff coastal walking in the country. The lighthouse is the place where Marconi transmitted his first radio broadcast to France. Closer to France than London, bring a passport, catch a ferry from Dover and visit the French markets in Calais and Boulogne for the day.
Visit Dover, Deal and Walmer Castle, Pines Garden and Metropole Galleries Folkestone. Canterbury 17 miles. Golf, sailing, cycling, horse riding locally. Shops and pubs 500 yards.

Manor Farmhouse dates back to Tudor times, with later Victorian additions. It is a fabulous, comfortable family home full of quirky original features and some uneven floors which all add to the charm and sense of history. The house is a lovely holiday home, perfect for holidays and short breaks all year round.
The ground floor has a traditional large farmhouse kitchen, a comfortable sitting room with wood burner and a lovely large dining room which has a snooker table and piano, French doors leading to the patio and one-acre garden surrounded by mature trees and woodland. In addition to the laundry facilities in the utility room there are also children’s toys, buckets and spades, dog bed and bowl. Upstairs, set over two floors are six bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities, two separate bathrooms and a reading corner with armchair, and a landing with a library of books.
The house has everything you will need for a fabulous holiday - there are books galore, DVDs, Wii games, snooker, the piano for family sing-a-longs, board games and garden games. You won’t want to leave!
The farmhouse is located in the small hamlet of Little Mongeham (pronounced munjam!) and is a short drive to Deal which is a really vibrant seaside town. It has a long pier, a long stretch of beach, a pretty conservation area with lovely independent shops, and great restaurants and cafes. Sandwich is also a short drive, full of history and charm and home to two championship golf courses.
The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers and cyclists and the White Cliffs Trail passes by the farmhouse. This 28 mile circular walk passes through the towns of Dover, Deal and Sandwich, going along the famous ’white cliffs’ to the east of Dover to Deal with an inland return through the beautiful Kent countryside.

Mount Ephraim house is a beautiful Victorian Grade II listed building with a large six bedroom wing that is now open to guests. Surrounded by formal terraced gardens, guests are free to explore all 10 acres comprising of a rose garden, a Japanese rock garden, water garden and lake and many more features.
The views from each room of the house are stunning, and whilst the gardens are open at certain times to the public there is a real sense of peace and tranquility in this lovely part of Kent.
The Garden Wing is not just for garden lovers either, as there are miles of lovely walks from your doorstep, and pets are welcome to come along too, with the two local pubs welcoming four legged friends.
The location is also ideal, as Mount Ephraim sits within easy driving distance of the charming market town of Faversham, the vibrant seaside fishing town of Whitstable and the historic medieval City of Canterbury so you will be spoilt for choice.
Within the Wing you will find a large sitting room with woodburner, a separate snug which is ideal for relaxing in with a book, and a large games room with full size snooker table for fun evenings in. A large open plan kitchen / dining room is fantastic for socialising and relaxing over meals.
Upstairs are six bedrooms all with lovely views over the estate and countryside beyond.
Outside is a pretty terrace with stunning views over the gardens which are exclusively yours to explore outside of the public open times.
The West Wing kitchen, located at Mount Ephraim, is available for guests to enjoy a private afternoon tea experience that can be served in the Garden Wing, West Wing kitchen or in the dining room of the main house depending on your preference. The menus use locally sourced produce wherever possible and can be adapted for dietary needs. Further information available from the owner once a booking has been placed. The owners are also happy to recommend local chefs for private dining experiences within the Wing during your stay.
Please note: Mount Ephraim is a privately owned home and hospitality and tourism business. The Garden Wing is situated in a private wing within the main house with its own separate entrance. However it is part of the main house where some of the business operations are based. This end of the house is also available to hire for weddings and private events. Whilst there will never be an event on in the house during our guests stay, there may be a marquee in situ or being erected on the front lawn of the house, and there may be some wedding show rounds or wedding preparations taking place in the main end of the house during your stay.
The gardens and tea room are open every year between April and October on Wednesday-Sunday, and Bank Holiday Mondays between 11am and 5pm. There are also certain events in the gardens throughout the year, see the Mount Ephraim website for more information. There is also a five bedroom B&B at the property in a separate wing, which is open all year round. All guests have access to the gardens outside of normal visiting hours and the family who own Mount Ephraim, and other residents in properties around the estate, may be on site during your stay.

The Old Gate House has just received a high-end to an impeccable standard with lots of attention to detail and its location couldn’t be any better in the grounds of the Salomons Estate. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this really is going to be an experience like no other. As you walk in the front door you get a feel for the opulence that you are going to be staycationing in, as it’s all designed and arranged over three floors. The house sleeps up to 12 people, with three bathrooms, lounge, kitchen/dining room and private garden with far reaching countryside views. The main bedroom has a magnificent en-suite with your roll top bath located at the end of your bed. There is ample parking with your very own car park right next to the property and has more than adequate room for a large group or a couple of families. Each of the bedrooms is generous in size with extremely comfortable beds, as is the outside space with enough room to park six cars.. Set in 36 acres of rolling gardens, parkland, and woods, it enjoys an enviable location in the heart of England’s garden, yet within an hour’s travel of London.
The Salomons Estate, found on the edge of Royal Tunbridge Wells, has a rich and eventful history. The name of this historic estate helps preserve the memory of three generations of the extraordinary Salomons family: Sir David Salomons, the first Jewish Lord Mayor of London, who courageously campaigned for the political rights of religious minorities; Sir David Lionel Salomons, a scientist, engineer, photographer and inventor, and Captain David Reginald Salomons, whose heroic self-sacrifice during the First World War has been dramatised in ‘The Dreamers’, a West End musical.
There are woodland walks that take place in the beautiful grounds of the Salomons Estate where you can explore the abundance of wildlife and natural habitats within the 36-acre estate. Explore the grounds independently and see what you discover. The walks take place on gravel paths and woodland trails, so make sure you have suitable footwear, as it can get muddy underfoot. Don’t forget- dogs are welcome to join you on your woodland walk!
There are many different things to do in Tunbridge Wells which offer the visitor a variety of memorable experiences all year round; The town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is most famous for the historic Pantiles and Chalybeate Spring, Previous guest tours have included garden visits, golfing and fishing breaks, cycling tours plus many more.

This beautiful holiday property is situated opposite the stunning Wesgate and Birchington Golf Club and is just a 6-minute walk to the golden sandy beach of West Bay beach. The Fairway has spacious south facing patio area ideal for a glass of wine in the sun, leading to lawns with gardens. Accommodating up to twelve guests made up of larger family groups. The living room has patio doors opening to a south facing patio area where guests can enjoy the magnificent sunsets. With plenty of comfort to choose from within five bedrooms, bedroom 3 is accessed via a wooden sliding door in bedroom 2, and bedroom 5 has a door leading to a large, south west facing balcony with panoramic views towards Birchington and the sea. All areas secured with fitted gates to ensure safe area for children and pets. There is a main driveway with high double gates and space for three cars to park in a line; the second driveway has parking area for two car.
Westgate is ideally located in the centre of Thanet, surrounded by villages and towns, with so much to see and do from bars, restaurants, boutique shops to beaches, plenty of walks and plenty of parks and scenery to take in. With more than adequate travel links via bus and trains you can explore Thanet day by day easily and locally within 30 minutes maximum travel. There is a wide promenade meandering towards Margate Sands in one direction and Minnis Bay via cliff roads and promenade in the opposite direction.
A short 15-minute drive in the area can take you to Westwood Shopping area, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Reculver Towers Park. Historic Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable a little further. The Tourist Information is located next to Turners Contemporary Gallery along from Margate Main Sands with the usual holidaymaker attractions. Westgate has a good range of takeaway outlets, traditional fish and chips, Indian, Chinese, Greek, Thai, Turquish, pizzeria along with numerous good cafés. Westgate was originally a gated community and the architecture of many of the buildings reflect the Edwardian heritage. The quaint parade of shops opposite Westgate Station provides a good range: newsagents, post office and chemists, bakers, butchers, fruit and veg, national supermarket, sweet shops, hairdressers and barbers, beauty salons, bric-a-brac and local charity shops catering for all ages and tastes. The three screen Carlton Cinema offers the latest films screened in a retro style surrounding. Come and experience this traditional array of shops, cafés and more. Margate is close by, which offers Dreamland theme park and the long golden sandy beaches with arcades and bars/cafés spread out along the way. 1 dog welcome. Whether you are looking to go fishing for a day trip, play at the water and aqua park in Sandwich, visit the Turner Centre in Margate or Dreamland for some live music, this property is a must. A short walk into town gives you multiple options for eating and drinking with such a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. Ramsgate train station allows very easy travel to the local surrounding areas such as Margate, Sandwich, Deal and Canterbury. Ramsgate is home to the only Royal Harbour in the UK, given this status by King George IV because he was so impressed with the hospitality he received in the coastal town, and the same is still true today. With one of the warmest climates in the UK, there’s a distinct continental feel in the town. Visitors can soak up the cosmopolitan atmosphere in one of the many waterfront bars, cafés and restaurants and enjoy the beautiful architecture and the famous harbour arches with stunning views across the marina. There’s so much to enjoy, relax and explore the eclectic mix of artisan and boutique shops or stroll along the award-winning sandy beaches and shoreline.
