Nestled in the small village of Wooldale high in the Holme Valley, Pear Tree House Annexe adjoins the owner’s home and is just minutes away from the bustling centre of Holmfirth with its range of boutique shops, restaurants and wine bars. Full of character with mullioned windows and an open fire for cooler evenings, the accommodation overlooks the beautifully manicured gardens which offer a range of sitting out areas to catch the sun well into the evening.
Holmfirth is best known as the backdrop to the iconic British sit-com ’Last of the Summer Wine’, but uniquely is also home to its very own vineyard which offers tours, wine tasting and a restaurant. There’s also the ‘Picturedrome’, which is a superb intimate live music venue that attracts many famous bands and visitors from far and wide.
In the heart of the beautiful Holme Valley, on the edge of the West Yorkshire Pennines, there are endless opportunities for walking and cycling. The scenery is breathtaking and the hills are recognisable from the Tour de France 2014 and the Tour de Yorkshire. The sensational 573 yards Holme Moss climb is around 15 minutes’ drive and offers stunning views from the summit. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wentworth Castle and the contemporary Hepworth Gallery are all around 30 minutes’ drive, and the Peak District National Park with all it has to offer is also easily accessible in around 20 minutes. You are perfectly situated with cobbled streets, independent shops, country pubs, restaurants and much more! Why not venture out a little further and explore the historic town of Skipton a few miles away, Bolton Abbey, Gisburn Forest, the Yorkshire Three Peaks and do not forget the charms of the Yorkshire Dales National Park!
The property has the benefit of off road parking, and is accessed via pedestrian only access through the adjoining farmhouse yard.

You are greeted by a delightful cobbled cottage garden and elevated patio area with seating. On entering you are received by an inviting and cosy living area with a sumptuous sofa, smart TV, wood burning stove and a dining area. The large mullion window with window seat in the lounge allows the picture-perfect views, overlooking rolling countryside. Put your feet up and wind down for the evening in front of the log burner! Walk through to find a well equipped kitchen allowing the flexibility of a home cooked meal. Amenities include an induction hob, fridge and microwave. A separate utility room provides a washing machine and place to store your boots and coats.

Wander upstairs to find a good-sized master bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, and additional storage. The second bedroom comprises of a single bed with additional storage. A separate bathroom provides a bath, low level toilet and pedestal wash hand basin. Travelling further afield you will also find St. Ives Estate, Bingley, Altar Rock, Five Rise Locks, Cliffe Castle, Harlow Carr at Harrogate, East Riddlesden Hall, and on our very own doorstep The keighley & Worth Valley Railway, and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Luddenden is a small quiet village. It’s part of the wider Halifax metropolitan area and offers a charming mix of natural beauty and historical architecture. Surrounded by the rolling hills of the South Pennines, Luddenden enjoys stunning views and easy access to a range of outdoor activities. The village is situated along the River Calder, which adds to its scenic appeal. The area has a rich industrial heritage, with remnants of old mills and buildings that harken back to its textile manufacturing past. This history is still visible in the architecture of the village.
