This lovely, detached farmhouse sits in rolling countryside within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park just outside the little hamlet of Rhyduchaf and is two miles from the historic market town of Bala. The farmhouse offers four good sized bedrooms and there is plenty of space to relax. There is a pleasant yard where guests can relax with a glass of wine or it makes a great place to dine al fresco.
Bala offers a choice of places to eat out with plenty of cafés and eateries for you to choose from. You can walk straight from the door or hop in the car to explore the area. The National White Water Centre is close by, where you can experience the thrill of rafting or canyoning, whilst more sedate activities may be found on the shores of Bala Lake which is close by. Take a trip on a steam train on the narrow gauge railway along the lake shore between Bala and Llanuwchllyn, have a day at the beach over on the coast at Barmouth, or try some Welsh foodie delights at the award-winning Rhug Estate Organic Farm Shop at Corwen. Further afield in Blaenau Ffestiniog is the incredible Bounce Below where the whole family can try bouncing on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern, and Zip World, the largest zip wire zone in the world where you can fly high over the quarries whilst enjoying the spectacular view as you try not to scream! Beach 28 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

Also within easy reach are the sandy beaches of the Cardigan Bay Coast, just 23 miles away at Barmouth.

The Beautiful Caerau Ichaf Gardens are very close to Bala and the famous Erddig Gardens is only a short drive away. You could also take a trip on the steam railway at Fairbourne Miniature Railway, or Festiniog originally The Gravity Railway and Snowdon Mountain Railway. One of the most popular tourist attractions in North Wales is Portmeirion, the Italianate village is also worth a visit. Abandoned mines can be found nearby in Carros, Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog or Sygun Copper Mind in Beddgelert.

Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site is only a short drive away. You’re within easy reach of, Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s also Glasfryn park with many activities to be found here, from go-karting, archery, crazy golf, and many water sports to name a few. Situated between Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world class Royal St Davids links golf course, Noddfa has beautiful views of both and the sea beyond. The current detached mansion has a history dating back 250 years, and was protected by the castle garrison. However the distinctive frontage of the house was added in 1850 by Samuel Holland MP and retains much of the Victorian character and splendour, with high ornate ceilings and a bell tower. The fully refurbished holiday accommodation comprises entrance hall, dining room with table for 20, a large drawing room with views over the links, cinema room, large farmhouse kitchen and cloakroom. Fairbourne and Barmouth are a pleasant drive away, with miles of golden sands at Barmouth and a smaller sandy beach at Fairbourne. Drive down to the lovely seaside resort of Aberdovey with candy-coloured houses, a long uncrowded beach and seaside atmosphere.

In the heart of Criccieth this 17th-century wing of a Grade II listed manor house has been fully and beautifully restored and is now a stylish and comfortable holiday cottage. Set in a wooded enclave the cottage is brimming with character - thick stone walls shuttered windows, two inglenook fireplaces and a stone, steep, spiral staircase.
