Only 7 miles away is the fabulous beach of Dinas Dinlle. Caernarfon, with its array of independent shops and medieval castle where Prince Charles took his investiture, also within easy reach is Porthmadog with a pretty harbour and is also home to the Welsh Highland Railway. The other castles of Conwy, Criccieth and Harlech are also all within easy driving distance, as are the fantastic beaches and coastline of the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Beach 7 miles.

All amenities are close by, with a pub and shop in nearby Bontnewydd. Only a short 5-mile drive takes you down to the beautiful beach at Dinas Dinlle, which is well worth a visit, with wonderful views across the bay to Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula. The area is a designated Site of Special Scientific interest due to a number of rare birds that live in the area; a must for any bird watchers. For the more adventurous, you’re only a short drive from many walking routes that will take you up Mount Snowdon, for the less adventurous there’s always the easier route up by train on the famous railway in Llanberis. And no visit to this area would be complete without taking in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Caernarfon Castle. You’re also only a short drive to Zip World, the longest zip wire in the world! What a magnificent area this really is!

Caernarfon Castle an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site is under 9 miles distance, where Prince Charles had his investiture, travel just a little further over to Pwllheli or Criccieth for more fabulous beaches, and Porthmadog is home to the Welsh Highland Railway and some lovely independent shops. Bwthyn is the smallest of the three cottages in the complex and boasts a glorious wood burner that you can snuggle up in front of whilst watching the flames flicker.
