Dotted with prehistoric monuments and with its entire coastline a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Anglesey is a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers alike. Day trips to Dublin are easily accessible from the port of Holyhead, whilst a myriad of outdoor pursuits and dramatic mountain scenery are a short drive away on the mainland in the Snowdonia National Park. There are designated areas for dogs during the summer. Anglesey is also famed for its spectacular coastal paths, 127 miles in total, so you won’t be short of local walks where you can stop for a bite to eat, or simply sit and look out for the local seals on a sunny day.
