You can take a boat trip from here also at certain times of the year, to visit Puffin Island! There is something for everyone of all ages to enjoy in this diverse region, no matter your interests. Alternatively, if you’re chasing some excitement, only a short drive away is Menai Bridge which offers a thrill seeking RibRide experience. For those with a keen interest in history, a visit to the 13th-century castle in the nearby town of Beaumaris is a must. Furthermore, there are a number of National Trust attractions a little further afield, the 19th-century Penrhyn Castle and Gardens in Bangor and the 18th-century Plas Newydd House and Gardens in the small village of Llanfair PG, (Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch) which are both well worth a visit.
