Lancaster, EnglandThis large, imposing, Victorian, terraced property has been the subject of a full renovation in 2022. The entrance hall leads to the open plan living/dining room where you will find plenty of comfy seating, a gas fire, and Smart TV to cosy up in front of after a day at the seaside. The dining area has a large dining table and chairs to be able to sit and enjoy a hearty meal with the group. The stylish contemporary kitchen is located to the rear of the property and boasts all integrated appliances for convenience and a breakfast bar at the window. A master double bedroom with a freestanding bath and vanity sink to the front of the property, a twin room and a single room can be found on the first floor, together with a shower room and separate toilet.
Up a second flight of stairs are three more bedrooms - the bedroom to the front with a vanity sink, a double room with a vanity sink and a further bedroom to the rear with a triple bunk bed. A four-piece bathroom is also on this floor having a corner bath and shower cubicle. There is one small parking space to the rear of the property and additional parking on the road in front. Two small dogs are also welcomed to this property.
Morecambe is a seaside resort with a sandy beach and long promenade. On the north end of the promenade, you can find Happy Mount Park, open all year round. A traditional park with an adventure playground, summer splash area, sports pitches, events, and cafe. On the southern end of the promenade an internationally renowned Art Deco hotel, designed by Oliver Hill and restored for the 21st century. Non-residents can enjoy sophisticated glamour, afternoon tea and classy cocktails here. For wetter days or evening entertainment, a bowling alley is located on Central Promenade with its ten bowling lanes, a restaurant and a bar. If you wish to venture further, historic Lancaster is a short drive away. Lancaster Castle is a must see, as is a visit to Willamson Park and Butterfly House. EnglandOrrest Head House was built in 1672 and was one of the first houses in Birthwaite, (as Windermere was known before it was renamed when the railway arrived in the 1850’s). Orrest Head House stands at the head of Windermere village and shares over 2 acres of stunning private grounds with Orrest Head Cottage (which can also be rented through Cumbrian Cottages CC127230). As you’d expect the house is packed full of eclectic features, which have evolved in over 400 years of history. After a recent renovation the house features a state-of-the-art kitchen with an adjacent TV snug room, lounge with huge sumptuous Chesterfield sofas seating 16 people, formal dining room with a grand square table again seating 16. And perhaps the most outstanding feature is Josiah Brown’s bar, your own pub within in a house, perfect for a party! Upstairs there are 5 large bedrooms all en suite including 2 with in bedroom baths overlooking the garden. Outside there’s a large patio area with barbecue and seating for all of your party. EnglandWhite Moss is one of our 5 historic buildings designed by Augustus (AWN) Pugin to let on The Terrace in Windermere. The house sleeps up to twelve in five bedrooms. Downstairs there’s a living room with seating for fifteen people, the room has a wood burning stove and large flat screen TV. The dining room is quite regal, with large table seating 11. The room also has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is hand made solid pine, with two oven Aga and a second range cooker, plus and all the usual appliances. Opposite the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, plus an extra American style fridge/freezer with icemaker. It’s a great space for muddy boots and wet dogs. Finally there’s a down stairs toilet. In the cellar there’s a fantastic cinema room with twelve fold down cinema seats and a 75" Smart TV. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a king size 4 poster. Bedroom two is a cosy single. Bedroom 3 is a kingsize. Bedroom 4 has three single beds. There is a shower room with toilet and sink and a bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Located on the second floor bedroom 5 has four single beds also on this floor is a statement bathroom with free standing bath, toilet and sink. White Moss is a great house for up to twelve people close to the heart of Windermere. It can be combined with any of our other houses on The Terrace (which each sleep fourteen).
