Swn Y Nant is a stunning lodge in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. This eco-friendly property is perfect for those wanting to explore the area or to simply have a romantic break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Nestled next to a stream and with a ramp to the entrance, this fabulous lodge comprises a ground floor bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link bed and a ground floor bathroom with a walk-in shower, a double-ended two-person bath and a heated towel rail. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space has floor-to-ceiling windows making it light and airy and has a Smart TV, super fast Wi-Fi up 150 mbps download and patio doors leading to the decked area with a private hot tub. There is also a small utility area. To the first floor is a kingsize bedroom with Smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the property with zoned thermostatic controls.
Outside, you will find hot and cold taps, perfect for washing your four-legged friends off after a walk in the hills. This eco-friendly lodge has eco cleaning products which are supplied along with a welcome basket of local produce, as well as a welcome basket for your dog containing treats and eco waste bags, also supplied is a bed, a blanket and a towel for your four-legged friend. A medium sized dog cage is available upon request.
There are plenty of walks to be had from the property; it is 6 miles to the historic town of Brecon with its array of coffee shops, small local independent shops, and art galleries. There is something here for everyone, and for those looking for more adventures then why not climb the high peaks of Pen Y Fan and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling countryside?

Refurbished in summer 2021, Plough Cottage is a lovely, detached bungalow situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just 5 miles from Machynlleth. With a 20-minute drive to the coast, this cottage is the perfect property for exploring the area with your four-legged friends.
The cottage is situated high on a hill side within the Dyfi valley, with the benefit of unrivalled panoramic views. This Area is of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts an abundance of wild life including many birds of prey. The nearest beach is 15 miles under half an hour’s drive away, and there are stunning unbroken countryside walks on your door step, which are dog friendly.
Plough Cottage consists of an open plan living space. It has a living area with wood burner, Freeview TV and DVD player and a kitchen area with all the essentials for creating a family meal. The conservatory is complete with a dining table and chairs and there is a family shower room with shower cubicle. Plough Cottage sleeps four guests in total, with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Outside to the rear of the property there is a patio area with great views over the rolling countryside, as well as a traditional brick-style BBQ and a seating area for al fresco dining.
There is plenty to see and do in the area such as cycling, mountain biking, fishing, hiking and horse riding. King Arthur’s Labyrinth is a great visitor attraction, taking visitors deep into the mountains of southern Snowdonia. Corris Narrow Gauge Railway, Corris Craft Centre and Corris Mine Explorers are all worth a visit. Beaches are a short drive away, and some are dog friendly. The lovely market town of Machynlleth is just 6 miles away with its wide high street and variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Aberdovey is a thriving seaside fishing village with brightly painted houses which seem to cling to the shoreline and has a history dating back hundreds of years. It offers miles of beautiful golden sandy beaches with a fantastic selection of water-based activities including sailing, fishing and windsurfing. Golfers are also well catered for with an 18-hole championship golf course located at the western end of the village, which welcomes visiting players. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the wonderful opportunities for walking and bird watching in the surrounding area. A myriad of visitor attractions is within easy reach from Plough Cottage. Dardy Cottage has been renovated to a very good standard in 2020 and is located in the village of Dardy. The historic town of Crickhowell is 15 minutes’ walk, (¾ miles) from Dardy Cottage. The village of Llangattock is just 5 minutes’ walk, and has several pubs offering food and an excellent children’s playground recently upgraded. Crickhowell was named in 2019 as the best place to live in Wales by the Sunday Times, and also best high street in Britain in 2018. There is an array of amenities there including independent boutiques, coffee shops, bookshops, groceries and restaurants. For those who enjoy music festivals, Crickhowell is home to the ’Green Man’ during August. This property is also perfect for anyone wanting to participate in the annual Crickhowell Walking Festival, in March.
The town of Abergavenny is 7 miles away and there you will find some fine dining restaurants, including a Michelin-starred restaurant. Abergavenny is also host to an annual food festival in September. The South Wales three peaks event Blorenge/Sugar Loaf and Skirrid in a day!) takes place in March. The "platinum challenge" starts from Crickhowell.
Brecon is just 15½ miles away from Dardy Cottage and has lots of places of interest, such as the Welsh Regimental Museum and Brecon Cathedral, and it is also home to a jazz festival every August. For those wanting to explore the area on foot, Pen Y Fan, south Wales’ highest peak, offers great opportunities. Sugar Loaf Mountain is also nearby and is the southernmost of the peaks in the Black Mountain Range. The annual Crickhowell Walking festival provides a range of guided walks.
Dardy Cottage is close to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and the Usk Valley Walk National Trail, which run through the village, offering easy access on foot and bike to local attractions and Sustrans cycling routes. For cyclists we have secure storage in the garage.

This detached, single-storey cottage, next to the owner’s home, is set on a working small holding. It has stunning views over open countryside towards the Welsh border and enjoys a wonderful location for walkers, with Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath nearby. After a long day enjoying all the area has to offer, there is a wonderful patio space on which to relax overlooking the neighbouring farmland, where guests can enjoy watching the free range hens around the property. The historic city of Chester and the market town of Shrewsbury are both under an hour’s drive, and offer a wide selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Isla’s Cottage is a cosy 18th-century Welsh cottage situated in the quaint village of Ystradgynlais, Swansea Valley. It’s central location is ideal for visiting the Gower Peninsula with its award winning beaches, the Brecon Beacons National Park and other local attractions. Ideal for couples and families. The cottage is a short walk from the village centre where there are numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and lovely shops. The cottage has a multi-fuel burner, perfect for a cosy night in after a day of walking/activities. Other facilities include an enclosed garden with patio area, perfect for your canine companions.
The cottage is full of character, and downstairs you will find a bathroom with shower over P-shaped bath, a good sized kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and washing machine. The kitchen leads to an enclosed garden with seating and a bike store, and upstairs there is one double and one single bedroom.
There is lots to do in this area, and with being centrally based, you can be on the beach in 40 minutes or in the mountains in 30 minutes. There are lots of walks to be found near the property, great for taking your four-legged friends. Horse riding is available a short drive from the property, and the award winning Dan yr Ogof show caves is great day out for adults and kids alike. The town of Ystradgynlais is a short walk from the property, where an abundance of restaurants, shops and pubs can be found. Shop ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Llansantffraed House is a wonderful, spacious property with high ceilings and original features. Dating back to the 1800’s, this property was once home to the Lord of the Manor! This detached holiday home is the perfect place for larger family get-togethers and for groups of friends alike.
The property comprises a large living room with a wood burner and a separate sitting room, a large dining room with a wood burner and spacious kitchen, and utility room. Above the kitchen is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and there is also a shower room with a steam/hydro shower on the ground floor.
The large entrance area features a winding staircase that leads to the first floor, where you will find a fabulous stained glassed window overlooking the rolling hills, four comfortable bedrooms and a family bathroom.

This lovely, large detached property, situated next to a chicken farm, is just 4 miles from the town of Newtown yet sat in a rural location with great views of the rolling countryside. This property is an ideal base for groups of friends and large family gatherings. Situated on the owners 16 acres of land, with a large wildlife pond. There are walks to be had straight from the front door and into Dyffryn woods - the woodland is approximately 260 metres high and gives some great views over Neath, The Bristol Channel and the Gower peninsula on a clear day. There is plenty to do and see from both properties; for those adrenaline junkies looking for some excitement, Bike Park Wales is approximately a 40-minute drive from the property, and Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are a 25-minute drive, with masses of trails for mountain bike enthusiasts.
If you tire of the mountains, you are never far from the sea either with Aberavon Beach 9 miles away, and the famous Gower Peninsula only 20 miles away. The National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive from the property and make a fantastic day out with three of the largest caves to experience. Almost directly across the road you will find Craig Y Nos Castle and the attached country park which was formally owned by opera singer Adelina Patti. If you are looking for some retail therapy the property is perfectly located only 3 miles from the historic market town of Neath and 9 miles from Swansea, both of which have traditional indoor markets. Swansea has a lovely marina and a very large beach which continues on to Mumbles where you will find an array of bistros, shops and ice cream parlous where you can try the famous Joes Ice cream. Cardiff is also easily reachable within an hour’s drive, or by train from Neath station. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests.

Pen Y Crug is situated down a quiet country lane neighbouring a working farm in Llanafan Fawr, and is a traditional Welsh cottage with lots of features and character. The three bedrooms on the first floor are accessed via two separate staircases, one a steep, ladder style staircase leading from the kitchen directly into the second bedroom. The property is situated in a rural location and is perfect for those who want to walk in the open countryside. Ideally situated with walks from the door and for cyclists alike. Plenty of scope for relaxation and ideal for bird watching with the Red Kites and Buzzards being an every day sight. The property is located 6 miles from the market town of Builth Wells, with vast amounts of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. It is also home to the Royal Welsh Showground which hosts a variety of shows over the year including the Spring Festival and the Royal Welsh Show in July.
