Isla’s Cottage is a cosy 18th-century Welsh cottage situated in the quaint village of Ystradgynlais, Swansea Valley. It’s central location is ideal for visiting the Gower Peninsula with its award winning beaches, the Brecon Beacons National Park and other local attractions. Ideal for couples and families. The cottage is a short walk from the village centre where there are numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and lovely shops. The cottage has a multi-fuel burner, perfect for a cosy night in after a day of walking/activities. Other facilities include an enclosed garden with patio area, perfect for your canine companions.
The cottage is full of character, and downstairs you will find a bathroom with shower over P-shaped bath, a good sized kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and washing machine. The kitchen leads to an enclosed garden with seating and a bike store, and upstairs there is one double and one single bedroom.
There is lots to do in this area, and with being centrally based, you can be on the beach in 40 minutes or in the mountains in 30 minutes. There are lots of walks to be found near the property, great for taking your four-legged friends. Horse riding is available a short drive from the property, and the award winning Dan yr Ogof show caves is great day out for adults and kids alike. The town of Ystradgynlais is a short walk from the property, where an abundance of restaurants, shops and pubs can be found. Shop ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Glan Y Nant is a static caravan set in its own garden overlooking a stream and fields. It is just off the A44, a main route into Wales from Herefordshire, and is located in a rural area surrounded by wildlife and scenic views, however, you may hear the passing traffic. It is a good base for hikers, dog owners, cyclists, artists, photographers and nature lovers.
It is ideally situated to visit the Welsh towns of Presteigne, Knighton, Builth Wells (Royal Welsh Showground 11 miles away), Llandrindod Wells or to follow the Black and White village trail through pretty Herefordshire. It is also suitable as a base for the Hay-on-Wye Book Festival and Brecon Jazz Festival. If after a day of exploring you want to eat out there are pubs in Knighton, Presteigne, Titley and Kington.
There are three steps to enter the caravan, and once inside you will find a well-equipped kitchen and a welcoming open-plan living room with a separate dining area. Hidden below one of the bench-style sofas is a sprung sofa bed. The living area has an electric fire that enhances the cosy ambience. There is a double bedroom with an en-suite toilet with a sink and heated towel rail. The single bedroom is next to the family bathroom which has a shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet and sink. Both rooms have comfortable mattresses, hanging wardrobes drawer space and bedside tables with lamps.
Outside there is a large patio with a bench overlooking the stream. There are recliners and a dining table set for al fresco meals or just sit on the bench to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. The enclosed lawn at one end provides space for dogs to play safely and walks on the farmland can be arranged. Playing in the stream is a favourite and there is a bird hide on the farm where you can see numerous birds on feeders both resident and seasonal.
