    A superbly converted stable cottage set in beautiful countryside on the edge of the South Downs National Park offering idyllic views with easy access to local attractions. Freeland Farmhouse Stables has been lovingly converted from a stable to an attractive two bedroom holiday cottage. Well located with an abundance of paths and bridleways on the doorstep this is an ideal retreat for countryside lovers and walkers. On entering the cottage there is a spacious open plan living area with an open beamed ceiling and a comfortable living and dining space surrounding a wood burner, there are double bi-fold doors opening on to the front terrace which is great for those balmy summer evenings. The kitchen area is superbly equipped with lovely views over the rear of the property towards the countryside and gliding club. There are two spacious ground floor bedrooms and a family bathroom. One of the bedrooms has kingsize bed and the other bedroom has twin beds. To the front of the cottage you will find a lovely patio area overlooking an enclosed cottage garden with seating perfect for enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. You can catch the local gliders flying high above in the Sussex sky whilst relaxing after a day of exploring or directly access the countryside pathways and explore the local area.
    Freeland Farmhouse Cottage is in an idyllic location surrounded by fields with local horses grazing and chickens roaming freely in the gardens. With the local gliding club based in the next field why not take the opportunity of flying over the South Downs Ridge or experiencing a bird’s eye view of the breathtaking scenery of Sussex the South Downs and the coast. For less adrenaline fuelled activities the RSPB Pulborough Brooks is just a mile away from the cottage and is extra special for walkers and countryside lovers. There are many excellent walks across the Brooks and along the banks of the River Arun offering uninterrupted views south towards the South Downs. Part of the Brooks contains one of the RSPB’s major reserves in the south. The nearby village of Storrington lies on the northern edge of the South Downs and is the closest village to the mid-point of the South Downs Way. Storrington is a lively village with most of the facilities of a small town. It has a wide variety of shops and businesses and a selection of pubs and restaurants to enjoy. It also offers access to a host of renowned walks across the Downs with footpaths leading to the top of Kithurst and Chantry Hills. For the less energetic there are roads leading to the top of the Downs both east and west of Storrington with car parks once you reach the top. Also within walking distance of the cottage is Parham House a magnificent Elizabethan country house with beautiful formal gardens and open parkland. The rooms are graced with fresh flowers cut daily from the four acre walled garden. The main rooms are the Great Hall, Great Chamber and the Long Gallery which at the top of the house leaves a tremendous visual impression.
