A spacious and well equipped dining kitchen is the central hub of the house, where hearty meals, drinks and good conversation can go on well into the evening, after which head off for a comfortable night’s sleep in the three double bedrooms, the third can also be made up into a twin if so required. Wake up revived and refreshed, two family bathrooms are available for all. Outside is surrounded by large enclosed lawned gardens, with open rural fields to the rear and side, often with livestock, and views of Skiddaw (weather permitting). For al fresco dining, the paved patio area is the place to serve up your culinary skills, however a morning coffee, a slice of toast and the gentle sound of birdsong makes it a perfect place to reflect and plan the day ahead. A bike store is also available on request via the owner, at cost. A short 5 minute walk and the 18th-century inn serves quality home cooked food and a selection of real ales. Whilst the market town of Wigton (4 miles) has a wide range of restaurants and supermarkets. If you can tear yourself away from this tranquil setting, Cumbria and the Lake District National Park is one of the most beautiful regions in the UK. The area has something to offer all visitors, from those seeking adventure, to those seeking peace and quiet.
