From here you are just a short drive from Keswick, and many of the popular fells including Skiddaw, Sale Fell and Ling Fell can be accessed along the way. For golfers, Cockermouth and Keswick both offer access for non-members, and mountain bikers will be keen to tackle the demanding trails at Whinlatter Forest. Stunning beaches along the west coast include St Bees, home of the coast-to-coast challenge. Families will enjoy a day out at the Lake District Wildlife Park or for a wet and rainy day the Aquarium at Maryport is a great choice.
