This attractive detached house has been lovingly furnished to a good standard and is situated in the pretty village of Clifton. On the ground floor is a cosy living room, a dining room with seating for all 6 guests and a well-equipped kitchen to rustle up your favourite family dish. Moving upstairs is the master bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite facilities. A further two bedrooms comprise of one with a double bed and the other with twin beds, both with a TV. A family bathroom is also conveniently situated on this floor.
This holiday property is in a great location for exploring the Derbyshire and Staffordshire Peak District, and the fabulous market town of Ashbourne, with its quirky antique shops and many bespoke coffee shops and restaurants. Ashbourne is known as the gateway to the Peak District National Park and is an ideal base to visit many attractions, including Alton Towers, 8 miles.
There are so many places to visit in the Peak District that one visit may not be enough. Interesting market towns offer very different attractions. Visit Bakewell and its museum to learn more about the Bakewell Elephant, or the spa town of Buxton with its opera house.
Castleton and its amazing show caves, Blue John mines and cliff top Peveril Castle is worth the trip, and no visit to the Peak District would be complete without a day spent at fabulous Chatsworth House and Gardens, with waterfall cascade and the Emperor Fountain reaching heights of 300ft!

Situated on the end of a row of three and boasting stunning countryside views to the rear, Tree Tops is located on the edge of Youlgreave village and enjoys a patio area that catches the sun well in the evening. Built on a ridge between the Lathkill and Bradford Rivers, Youlgreave is one of the larger Peak District villages, with the narrow village street running for about one and a half miles. Served by a variety of pubs and a couple of shops, it makes a great base for outdoor enthusiasts and sightseers alike with walks available direct from the door in the Lathkill and Bradford Dales. The market towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne, Matlock and Wirksworth with their variety of attractions, shops, coffee shops and restaurants are all available within a 30 minute drive. For the history enthusiasts, the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are around 15 minutes away. The Monsal Trail for traffic-free cycling can also be reached in around 15 minutes, and for those bigger thrill seekers, Alton Towers in around 45 minutes.

Horse riding can also be found nearby, and for children, Hayfield Park is ¼ mile which consists of playground, zip line, skateboard ramps and a mini bike track. Famous for its magnificent, 14th-century church, known as ’The Cathedral of the Peak’, Tideswell is a large village set in the midst of glorious countryside. With its dog friendly reputation, it makes an excellent base with traditional pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, delicatessens, butchers, and even a local supermarket. Throughout the year events are held such as the Tideswell Food Festival in May, and Well Dressings and Wakes Week in late June to early July.

There are some stunning walks through Tideswell Dale, where there is a nature reserve that leads out onto the Monsal Trail, a popular Peak District walking and cycling trail. The Limestone Way also passes through, and with it heading south can take you all the way to Rocester on the Staffordshire border, or north to the beautiful honeypot village of Castleton and Mam Tor, which is around 7 miles away. The ever popular market town of Bakewell is home to the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall, and can be reached in around 15 minutes, as can Buxton with its Pavilion Gardens and Opera House. This delightful cottage can be found on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque village of Cutthorpe, down a private country lane on the owner’s non-working farm of 2 acres. Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. The Pig Sty is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors. It has been modernised throughout whilst retaining many original features. The ground floor is a large open plan living space complete with a warming wood burner, leather corner sofa, a large LCD TV and exposed stone walls. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table to enjoy a home cooked meal with all the family. Head upstairs where you will find the bathroom and two generously sized bedrooms; a double bedroom which enjoys views over the countryside through the large picture widow and a twin bedroom which is en-suite. After a busy day exploring the surrounding area, the private garden with a covered hot tub (available at an additional charge) is a great place to relax and unwind. Double glazed with underfloor heating downstairs and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round. Additional towels and gowns are also included.

Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from the popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. Additionally there is shooting, canoeing, horse riding, go ape, abseiling, climbing, fishing and golf all available nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Green Farm offers. The nearest shop is 2 miles, café 1½ miles, post office, doctors are all available locally.
