There is climbing available at the ever popular Stanage Edge, which is around 30 minutes away, and watersports at the beautiful Carsington Water, which can be reached in around 45 minutes. It has comfortable sofas, oak dining table, comfortable beds with high quality mattresses and linen and is the perfect spot for family gatherings, relaxed celebrations, cycling and walking groups. Enter onto the ground floor where you will find the majority of the bedrooms. Each bedroom on this floor has an en-suite shower room; there are two triple rooms all having single beds, a twin room, and a double. The bedrooms have high quality wooden beds and are light and airy and make for a comfortable night’s sleep. On the first floor you will be greeted by high ceilings and wooden beams running throughout, the fifth bedroom is found on this floor, which is a double, along with a bathroom. The kitchen has a great atmosphere and is a perfect social space so you can all be involved, it has a large oak dining table to comfortably seat all twelve guests. The doors are kept open into the living room which is very impressive, it features ample seating, lots of space and a wood burner. The barn has the fantastic addition of a games room across the courtyard with a table football and pool table. Littonfields Barn is located in a private courtyard with ample parking for up to six cars, a bike store and bike and boot washing facilities with a dryer racks. There is a pretty, raised patio area with table and chairs which is the perfect spot for your morning coffee or a family barbecue.
    There is a country pub close by serving great food as well as a local shop open seven days a week. There are many wonderful walks straight from the door, and walks from the property include the Litton Loop which is a lovely circular route direct from the barn which takes the Cressbrook Dale, Litton Edge and a few cafés and pubs along the way. The High Peak, Monsall and Tissington Trails are a short drive from the property plus there are many places for cycle hire. On the ground floor is a double bedroom which is spacious and light, plus a shower room with generously sized shower. There is an under stair cupboard housing a washing machine. On the first floor is an open plan space containing a kitchen, dining area and sitting room. The kitchen is equipped with all you should require for cooking an enjoyable meal but please note there is no oven but in replacement an electric hob and combi microwave are available as well as an air fryer and slow cooker. The dining area provides a table large enough to seat up to four guests plus there is a breakfast bar. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa which can also be made into a double sofa bed on request, plus TV. On the first floor there is access to a private patio garden with garden furniture. Parking may be on street but there is ample of it with no time restrictions. Please use the drive for loading and unloading of belongings then just pull up in front of the house.
    Tideswell is a fantastic village for your Peak District get-away, there are plenty of walks from the doorstep plus the village offers a lot, such as a variety of pubs and restaurants, a local co-op shop, cafes, chip shop and local bakery. There are many walking opportunities in the Peaks with the closest to Tideswell being the Monsall Trail, Millers Dale and Castleton to name a few. Visit the neighbouring towns of Bakewell and Buxton for a casual stroll around or the stately home of Chatsworth House where you can walk the river and surrounding woods or buy a ticket to enter the house and gardens. It has a beautiful stone floor, crisp white walls, quirky nooks and a welcoming wood burner in the original stone fireplace.
    The separate charming galley kitchen has been designed and decorated to reflect the personality and character of the cottage. Its weathered stone floor, natural cream coloured shaker-style cabinets, marble effect worktop and warm rustic open wooden shelves make it a welcoming space. There is an external door that opens to the rear yard. Upstairs the master bedroom enjoys views over the neighbouring croft and Eyam Edge beyond.
