Bishops Tawton is a small village located within two miles of Barnstaple; North Devon’s regional capital and ancient river-port town at the lowest crossing point of the River Taw flowing into the Bristol Channel. Access by car is easy to Eggesford Forest (10 miles towards Exeter), with the local country pub just a bit further along the A377 where you can have lunch before a walk in the woods.
