There is an additional sun room which offers the perfect spot to read a good book and the dining room offers a great space to enjoy a celebratory meal with your family and friends. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal and there’s also a handy utility area leading off it. The rear garden has an attractive patio area with garden furniture, ideal for al fresco dining or for enjoying your morning coffee in the sun.
The first floor is divided into two with a separate staircase to access each area. Bedrooms three and four are accessed by a staircase from the kitchen. Bedroom four is accessed through bedroom three and has an en-suite bathroom with separate shower, large corner bath and toilet. Bedroom three and four are zip and link and can be made into twin beds.
The principal staircase rises from the main entrance hallway and leads to the other part of the house where you will discover the family bathroom and bedrooms one and two, each having a kingsize bed, although bedroom two can be set up with 2ft 6in twin beds if requested. The accommodation is therefore very flexible and suitable for groups of different sizes and composition.
Set in the heart of the picturesque Devon town of Budleigh Salterton and just 200 metres from the beach, and about the same distance to the town centre where you can find a wide range of shops including pubs, restaurant, tea rooms and grocery stores. Budleigh is a beautiful, unspoilt holiday destination located on the Jurassic Coast, which is a World Heritage Site and part of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For all-terrain mountain biking, head to Woodbury Common (also a great location for birdwatchers!) During your stay be sure to visit the neighbouring towns of Beer, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Seaton. Torquay, EnglandThis three-bedroomed chocolate-box Grade II thatched cottage sits within Cockington Country Park, 450 acres of heaven less than a mile from the sea. The cottage has three good-sized bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six adults. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has a super kingsize bed that can be split to form two single beds (please ensure this is requested if required). The third bedroom has a double bed. Whilst a cot is not provided, the first two bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot. Two z-beds are available and can be sited in rooms 1 and 2.
Between Easter and October, we operate a Tea Garden at the rear of the property between 10am and 5pm. Your privacy is not impinged, your courtyard garden is private and the Tea Garden’s kitchen, although in the same building, is secured from the rest of the cottage. Weavers cottage is situated in a fantastic position for exploring the historic and well-regarded village of Cockington.

Visitors can take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island or explore many pretty fishing villages including nearby Clovelly and Appledore. Instow is just 2 miles away and is a pretty, unspoilt seaside village with large stretches of sandy beaches and dunes, fishermen’s cottages, shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants specialising in locally caught seafood. The wide, golden sandy beach of Westward Ho!, popular with surfers, is just 3 miles away with Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe a short drive across the Taw Estuary.
There are numerous NT properties in the area including Arlington and Hartland Abbey, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Quay and Lighthouse are well worth a visit and for family fun, the Big Sheep and the Milky Way Adventure Parks are close by. Golf, riding, fishing, surfing, mountain boarding, karting and high ropes are available locally and the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin moors are all within easy driving distance, as is the famous Eden Project.
