The house is situated 3 miles from the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline town of Sidmouth, that nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley. Sidmouth, with it’s beautiful gardens and leisurely walks, Regency history, clean sandy and pebble beaches, great restaurants and friendly shops, is also renowned for it’s annual International Folk Festival held in August. Villages of exceptional beauty lie on the doorstep: Beer, with its amazing pebble beach and caves, Branscombe perfect for mackerel fishing or the town of Seaton, with its historic tramway and exhibitions. Take a trip to the Donkey Sanctuary, visit the stunning gardens at Bicton, or for a great family day out, there is Crealy Adventure Park or Pecorama with it’s miniature railway. For the very adventurous, visit Haldon Hill and try zip wires through the trees at Go Ape, or take your bike and go cycling off road on the many countryside trails that there are on offer. Built in 1740, The Orangery showcases a domed entrance and views toward the Exe estuary and Lyme Bay. The wooded Haldon Hills sit behind the property and the sculpture filled park and pastures are below.
Take the time to walk around the park and check out the synergy of environment and art. Guests will most likely spot the nearby wildlife which regularly includes deer, hares, buzzards, foxes, badgers and rabbits. The area is also an ideal retreat for stargazing.
Inside, The Orangery includes an open plan kitchen that leads out to the courtyard, with all the necessary cooking accessories. With a number of spaces to eat and enjoy, you don’t need to go out while staying here unless you want to.

The cathedral city of Exeter is a short easy drive and offers a range of popular shops and boutiques, restaurants, theatre, cinemas and other leisure facilities. The 3,500 acre Haldon Hills Forest Park is just 5 minutes’ drive away and is criss-crossed with walking and cycling trails for all abilities. The property is also within easy reach of Teignmouth Golf Course and various cycling trails. Dawlish, EnglandAs you enter Crows Nest into the entrance hallway you find bedrooms 1 and 2 to either side, comprising a double bedroom with built in storage and a twin bedroom which can be converted to a super kingsize bed on request. There is also a downstairs shower room leading off from the hallway. Just down the hallway on the right is a well-equipped kitchen with everything you could need during your stay, including a dishwasher for hassle free family meals and a washing machine for muddy clothes. Here a door leads out onto the rear patio, with garden furniture, a hot tub with bluetooth speaker and LED changing lights, and a gas barbecue, ideal for dining al-fresco.
Also on the ground floor is the living room with patio doors leading through to the conservatory, which provides access to the garden and really brings the outside in. The wrap around rear garden is very pleasant with decked area, seating and hot tub, as well as a partly lawned area to the side. From here you can enjoy panoramic sea views and this south-facing area catches the sun all day.
Upstairs on the first floor are bedrooms 3 and 4, comprising 2 double bedrooms with extra storage. Bedroom 3 also has the added benefit of sea views and a Smart TV. The main family bathroom is also on this floor and features a bath and separate shower cubicle, as well as sea views. The driveway provides off road parking for around 3 cars.
