Children will love the sandy beaches and Smugglers Tunnel. Adults and children alike will enjoy the botanical gardens and small zoo, and no visit would be complete without a traditional Devon cream tea. Set over three floors, it sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms. As you enter the property through the front floor, you will find yourself in between the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with all you could need to rustle up a good meal, and the dining area next door benefits from a large dining table and additional fridge/freezer. A door from the kitchen leads into the spacious utility room, and another door leads onto the low maintenance and sunny rear courtyard garden. Upstairs on the first floor is the bright and airy living room, with its Smart TV and plenty of seating. There is also a separate toilet on this floor as well as a kingsize bedroom. The second floor is where the family bathroom is, as well as a further two bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other with two double beds, perfect as a children’s room or for individuals happy to share.
Being set in Shaldon itself, many properties are very difficult to park at and even manoeuvring through the lanes can be difficult at the best of times. However, the property is located just one road away from the town and an off-road parking space directly outside is a real added bonus. This is a great location for those looking to stay in Shaldon and enjoy the fantastic beach and nearby restaursnts or for exploring the nearby town of Teignmouth, the English Riviera (made up of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham) or even to travel slightly further afield to the well known Dartmouth and Salcombe. There is a vineyard right next door, and many local public footpaths, one of these running beside the cottage and leading to the ancient Old Walls Bishops Palace ruins (also next door). A well-known local brewery is 1.7 miles away, and accessible via a public footpath. If you fancy a round of golf, the Teignmouth Golf Course is just 1 mile away. Withymead is close to many of the regions popular tourist attractions and local beaches. Exeter and the English Riviera are a short drive away, and this property is ideal if you are a keen walker, with the South West Coastal Path and Dartmoor also nearby.

Shaldon, EnglandThe Sail Loft is a beautiful, four-bedroom character seaside home located in the heart of Teignmouth, yards from the Back Beach, which is part of the Teign estuary where boats bob up and down and big ships come in to offload cargo. The terraced holiday home feels bright, spacious and airy, and offers four large en-suite bedrooms and an extra bathroom. It has a family living room and a kitchen/dining room with a small snug, which is ideal for the kids to enjoy. The house is set on the first and second floor with 13 external steps up to the front door. As you walk through the porch into the hall on your left, you will discover the stylish and homely living room which boasts plenty of plush, comfortable seating for ten guests and a large flatscreen Smart TV on the wall. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal, and the dining area provides the perfect space for everyone to get together over breakfast whilst planning an adventurous day ahead. Umberleigh, EnglandEastacombe is a traditional, detached village cottage that has undergone a complete transformation, having been totally renovated and extended in 2022/23. Access by car is easy to Eggesford Forest (10 miles towards Exeter), with the local country pub just a bit further along the A377 where you can have lunch before a walk in the woods. Just 30 miles to the south is the historic city of Exeter.
