Newquay with its surf and beach culture is a short walk and has many restaurants, shopping, a zoo, leisure centre, swimming pools and a working harbour, where you can take to the sea on one of the many fishing boats and hopefully catch the evening’s dinner!
There are many tourist attractions in the surrounding area from man-made to natural, such as Crealy Adventure Park, Lappa Valley Railway, Newquay SeaLife Centre, plus several National Trust gardens, such as Lanhydrock and Trerice Manor. Watergate Bay is nearby and Padstow, with many excellent eateries including Rick Stein’s restaurant and excellent fish and chip shops, is a short drive along the most beautiful coast roads in the country.
