Other places of interest are Raby Castle, the ruins of Egglestone Abbey and Rokeby Hall. Bishop Auckland is also just a 10-minute ride away with two huge shopping parks. Barnard Castle is an 8 minute drive away from the quaint local market, shops and castle.
