The historical village of Wirksworth is only 3 miles away and is home to a well-established art and architecture trail, arts festival every September and has a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Just a 15 minute drive away is Carsington Water and the popular town of Ashbourne. Also close by is the Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, which are set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the river Derwent. Matlock offers a range of shops, pubs, and restaurants as well as a whole host of other exciting attractions. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car, which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family! South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst to the north lie the market town of Bakewell, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House - not to be missed! Close by Belper, situated in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site, is a town with a long and famous history dating back to the 13th century, when it was then called Beaurepaire (beautiful retreat), a name that still holds today. Now you’ll find it to be a spirited and bustling town, with attractions including the North Mill, Long Row and the River Gardens. There is a thriving local music and arts scene, and the town hosts an annual Arts festival every May as well as winter and summer food festivals and a monthly farmers’ market.

Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.
