Abbots Abode is a characteristic cottage sleeping up to six guests in two bedrooms. On the ground floor is a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with farmhouse dining table to seat all guests, and a comfortable living room with ample seating, electric wood burner and TV. On the first floor is a family bathroom with shower over bath, a double bedroom and the second bedroom has four single beds - please note two of the single beds are up a short and secure ladder to the mezzanine, perfect for kids. There is a shared utility room on site with washing machine with hanging space to dry wet coats or boots. The property has a garden to the front with stunning views down the Peak District valley, it is a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee while planning your day ahead.
The views from Monks Retreat are beautiful, just a short walk away you have an extensive panorama or seven dales and can see far out into the distance to the high moorlands of Axe Edge and Kinder Scout. The Limestone Way trail runs directly through the farm so you can easily hope on to this for your first exciting Peak District walk, there are many in the area such as Monsal Trail, High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail to name a few. Local to the property is Buxton town which offers an array of restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as the famous opera house that has shows on regularly. Bakewell and Matlock are also nearby to explore, as well as Chatsworth House. After you have enjoyed a fun-filled day head down to the local pub to enjoy some local ales and home cooked food.

Walnut Cottage offers comforting and cosy accommodation for up to four guests. As you arrive in this peaceful location, you can park your cars easily in the two spaces provided. Enter into the living room, which has high-quality soft furnishings and a TV, and there is a kitchen with all the appliances and equipment you should need plus a dining table. The kitchen also offers back door access to the private garden area which is lawned with garden furniture. The first of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor with a super kingsize bed that can be made into twins upon request and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. On the first floor is a galleried double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. It is a delightful place to return to at the end of your fun-filled day exploring this fantastic location within the Peak District. EV charging points have also been installed which you can use via scanning the QR code once parked.
Walnut Cottage is situated in a fantastic location in Buxton, within walking distance to all the attractions such as the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton Opera House and cinema, as well as a large number of cafés, pubs and restaurants available. There are plenty of walking routes and trails nearby such as Goyt Valley and the High Peak Trail. A short drive out of Buxton are neighbouring towns such as Ashbourne and Matlock, as well as the historic areas of Chatsworth House and Castleton, with its caverns you can explore.

Nestled in the sleepy village of Cutthorpe, in the heart of Derbyshire, you can explore the Peak District National Park within a few minutes drive. With open countryside views to the front and beautiful fields to the rear, Cutthorpe village is semi-rural and home to the fabulous Linacre Reservoirs, which are surrounded by fields and bluebell woods which provide many walking trails for all abilities. Cutthorpe benefits from three local pubs, each of which serve food, and there is a whole host of attractions within easy travelling distance. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle can all be reached in less than 30 minutes, as can the towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock, Chesterfield and even the city of Sheffield. For the energetic, Carsington Water has cycling routes and sailing available, and can be reached in around 45 minutes. For those bigger thrills, Alton Towers can be reached in around an hour. This delightful cottage can be found on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque village of Cutthorpe, down a private country lane on the owner’s non-working farm of 2 acres. Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. Tawny Owl Barn is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors, retaining many original features. The ground floor lays claim to a cosy living room complete with a warming wood burner, leather sofas, exposed stone walls and wooden beams. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table so you can have a home cooked meal with all the family, as well as a single bedroom with an oak sliding barn door. Head upstairs where you will find two en-suite bedrooms with varnished, natural wooden floors, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Double glazed and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round.
Outside, there is a fully enclosed private garden with a patio table and chairs, a barbeque and views over open countryside. There is a gate giving access to the fully enclosed hot tub (which is available all year for an additional charge, payable locally). This also includes the supply of additional towels and dressing gowns. We have a one acre paddock to exercise your dog in. Up to two well behaved dogs.
Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from The popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. Additionally there is shooting, canoeing, horse riding, go ape, abseiling, climbing, fishing and golf all available nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Green Farm offers. The nearest shop is 2 miles, café 1½ miles, post office, doctors are all available locally.

Yew Tree Bothy, which forms part of the owners’ home, provides small but comfortable holiday accommodation which is ideally located on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Surrounded by 30 acres of land, the property has its own sitting-out area from which to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding area. The village of Holymoorside has 2 pubs, 3 churches and a small local shop; a wider range of amenities can be found in Chesterfield which is 3½ miles away. The Chatsworth House estate is just 7 miles away. Golf and horse riding within 5 miles. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 500 yards.

Ideally set in the heart of the Peak District, The Old School House is part of a converted Victorian school. This Grade II listed home retains much charm and character, with Gothic features, and offers spacious holiday accommodation. There is a lovely garden with sitting-out area which is accessed across the driveway, however it is not an enclosed garden. Tideswell is an attractive village with a small supermarket, butchers and fish and chip shop. The Peak District offers superb walking, cycling, climbing, charming villages and bustling towns. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
