Popular with walkers and cyclists, fabulous countryside surrounds the village with various tracks and routes radiating from the area. Mam Tor and Bradwell Edge are probably the most famous local viewpoints and are well worth a visit, with the outstanding breathtaking scenery as a reward. Golf, horse riding, hand gliding, rock climbing, caving and fishing are also available throughout the area.
    The beautiful honeypot village of Castleton and the larger village of Tideswell are both around a 10-minute drive away.
