With a huge antique table at its heart the large, farmhouse-style kitchen is a great social space for bringing together friends and family over a relaxed meal.     There are many places to visit close by, including Seaton Tramway which operates narrow gauge heritage trams between Seaton, Colyford and Colyton in East Devon’s glorious Axe Valley. The trams travelling alongside the River Axe estuary pass through two nature reserves, and give an unrivalled view of the abundant wading bird life. The property is situated between Colyton and the pretty village of Northleigh with its 13th-century church. The historic town of Colyton is 2 miles away, with picturesque, narrow streets and has a town square with a range of local shops, pubs and restaurants. The ancient market town of Honiton is 4 miles away with a wide selection of shops, railway station and access to the A30 and M5. There are street markets on a Tuesday and Saturday and regular farmers’ markets. Honiton is noted for its lacemaking and pottery, and an abundance of antique shops line the main street. The Old Coach House is ideally situated to explore the Jurassic Coast, and is a short distance from Beer, the picturesque fishing village in East Devon. The ancient seaside town of Lyme Regis in Dorset is also a short journey away; you can enjoy the beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants and visit the historic Cobb or fossil museums. Other stunning coastal towns nearby include Budleigh Salterton, Branscombe, Charmouth and Sidmouth. Within 5 miles you can enjoy watersports, fishing and horse riding. Beach 5 miles.     This three-bedroomed chocolate-box Grade II thatched cottage sits within Cockington Country Park, 450 acres of heaven less than a mile from the sea. The cottage has three good-sized bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six adults. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has a super kingsize bed that can be split to form two single beds (please ensure this is requested if required). The third bedroom has a double bed. Whilst a cot is not provided, the first two bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot. Two z-beds are available and can be sited in rooms 1 and 2.
    Between Easter and October, we operate a Tea Garden at the rear of the property between 10am and 5pm. Your privacy is not impinged, your courtyard garden is private and the Tea Garden’s kitchen, although in the same building, is secured from the rest of the cottage. Weavers cottage is situated in a fantastic position for exploring the historic and well-regarded village of Cockington.
    Not to mention being just a stone’s throw from Torquay seafront and harbourside with its array of bars/restaurants. There are plenty of beautiful nearby walks and the cottage is situated right in the heart of the English Riviera for ease of access exploring everything the South Hams has to offer.

The barn is attached to the back of the owner’s farmhouse but guests will have private access with their own front door and driveway space, enough for up to four cars.
    As you enter, you will be welcomed into the hallway area which has bench seating, a washer/dryer, and is perfect for hanging coats up and kicking off those wellies after a bracing walk in the countryside. The spacious living room is comfortably furnished with a large corner sofa, Smart TV with Freeview and a gas wood burner. One of the kingsize bedrooms is located on the ground floor and there is a handy shower room across the hallway.
    Head upstairs to discover the other two kingsize bedrooms, one of which has zip and link beds and can be set up with twin beds if requested. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, offering the choice of a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. The elegant kitchen/diner is also located on the first floor, making the most of the beautiful views across the countryside. It is well equipped with all the key appliances and offers plenty of space to enjoy a meal together sat at the large dining table.
    The secluded garden is a fantastic space to relax and unwind in with its lawn, seating area, charcoal barbeque and private wood-fired hot tub backing onto the surrounding fields. A pizza oven can be rented for a small fee and trout fishing is also available on request. There are two footpaths meandering through the owner’s land which can be accessed 100m from the front door of The Cider Barn, leading off into the fields or to the local pubs which serve the most delicious food.
    The historic cathedral city of Exeter is 12 miles away with easy parking and a direct rail link from Crediton. The scenic national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor are within a 40-minute drive away. Dartmoor is a vast moorland defined by forests, rivers, wetlands, and tors (rock formations). The South Devon ‘Jurassic’ coast is a 50-minute drive away while the rugged North Devon coast and surfing beaches are a 60-minute drive away. The Cider Barn is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
