Nature lovers will enjoy a stay in Leveret Lodge. It is just minutes from the pretty Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve which is a unique area of wetland with marshes, reed beds, lakes and woodland that is home to a rich variety of wildlife, especially water birds. It also has over 6 kilometres of footpaths, including a circular walk around the whole site, with two super pubs on route, to stop off for refreshments.
This is also a great base for touring this exciting part of East Kent. Canterbury is a short drive away, and the lovely traditional coastal towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate are also close at hand. You’ll be so spoilt for choice, you’ll want to stay longer!
Inside Leveret Lodge you will find a large, light, bright and spacious open plan living space with high vaulted ceilings, and french doors leading to an enclosed garden overlooking fields and orchars, perfect for young children and the family dog. The dining table comfortanly seats 6 guests, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms add to the comfort and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room for extra guests. Leveret Lodge may accommodate 6 adults with prior arrangement with the owner.

Leading into the fully equipped kitchen, you will find everything required to rustle up a meal for family or friends, which can be enjoyed on the perfectly situated table and chairs in the middle of the open plan room. Take the stairs to reveal two immaculately presented bedrooms on the first floor; one with a kingsize bed which can be split into two singles, and a double room both with plenty of storage space. The family bathroom can also be found on the first floor which boasts a shower, toilet and basin. There is a second toilet and basin downstairs. The rear doors lead out onto the patio, which then takes you to the stunning garden with a small pond. Together with the outside furniture and the charcoal barbeque (charcoal not supplied) this is a gorgeous space to dine al fresco and to enjoy the countryside sun. There is also a summer house complete with kids’ games table and dart board.

A second bedroom offers two single beds, also finished to a high standard, whilst a family bathroom with a bath and shower over provides a relaxing space for the remaining guests. Situated in the village of Hadlow, there are many countryside walks and cycle routes, perfect for ramblers and cyclists alike. Hadlow is a village in the borough of Tonbridge which is in between Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks. The centre of which is a conservation area with many listed buildings alongside a range of shops including pubs and restaurants. On the outskirts of the village is Hadlow College of Agriculture boasting Broadview Gardens within its grounds which offers acres of landscaped gardens and a garden centre, both open to the public.

If you fancy exploring further afield then a trip into Tonbridge provides you with retail therapy, Tonbridge Castle, Oast House Theatre, a trip along the river and even a distillery. There is also a mainline railway station offering access to several towns. London Bridge train and tube, Waterloo East and Charing Cross stations are less than 45 minutes away. If you prefer, you can also head south on the train towards the coast to Hastings to visit the seaside and the historic Old Town. There are many National Trust and English Heritage sites to discover. The living/dining room features a double sided wood burner, creating the perfect ambience for cosy evenings in, whether you are sitting at the dining table planning the week’s activities with a glass of wine or relaxing on the beautiful sofas that bring a vibrant pop of colour against the rustic wooden walls. The countryside kitchen boasts hand built wooden units, original barn flooring and chunky wooden worktops, with a butchers block island ideal for socialising whilst a hearty meal is being prepared. Here, Bi-folding doors lead out to the undercover gazebo and then out to the garden.
After a day of exploring the countryside, what better way to unwind than in the stunning freestanding bath, or warming walk-in rain shower. Split over two floors are 3 individually styled bedrooms, ideal for couples or extended families holidaying together. On the ground floor, is a peaceful double bedroom, with rustic beamed walls complimented with a splash of deep green paint and sumptuous padded headboard. Upstairs, the further bedrooms are each accessed by their own separate staircase from the living area.
