It is just minutes from the pretty Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve which is a unique area of wetland with marshes, reed beds, lakes and woodland that is home to a rich variety of wildlife, especially water birds. It also has over 6 kilometres of footpaths, including a circular walk around the whole site, with two super pubs on route, to stop off for refreshments.
This is also a great base for touring this exciting part of East Kent. Canterbury is a short drive away, and the lovely traditional coastal towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate are also close at hand. You’ll be so spoilt for choice, you’ll want to stay longer!
Inside Leveret Lodge you will find a large, light, bright and spacious open plan living space with high vaulted ceilings, and french doors leading to an enclosed garden overlooking fields and orchars, perfect for young children and the family dog. The dining table comfortanly seats 6 guests, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms add to the comfort and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room for extra guests. Leveret Lodge may accommodate 6 adults with prior arrangement with the owner.

This beautiful medieval cottage was built circa 1475 during the war of the roses as part of the St Mary’s college/university to house and educate the secular canons. Within close proximity of the coast in 3 directions, and a short drive from the World Heritage sites in the famous historic city of Canterbury which offers plenty for all, from museums, shopping, dining, cinemas, pubs and bars, or simply learning the history of Kent. The world famous St George’s golf course at Sandwich is one of several nearby. Within an hour of both London and France, from Canons Hall Cottage you can submerge yourself in historic charm and cultural experience whilst relaxing and enjoying the many attractions of the surrounding “Garden of England” countryside and coast.

This lovely and homely four-bedroom family home is located on the outskirts of Canterbury city centre in the popular area of St Dunstan’s with a picturesque open green opposite. The property is in an ideal position with something for everyone. Within a 5-minute walk you can reach St Dunstan’s Street which has a plethora of restaurants, pubs, bakeries, wine and gin bars, the Westgate Gardens (where you can hop on a punting trip) leads to Toddlers Cove, which is a fantastic children’s play area. There is also a cycle path that takes you through beautiful countryside that follows the river Stour. Transport links are very convenient, a bus route a few minutes walk away takes you to the popular seaside town of Whitstable. Canterbury West Train Station, ten minutes away on foot takes you to London in 45 minutes. You may also wish to hop on the train to the next village of Sturry (a 4-minute ride) where you will be able to amble through Britain’s smallest town of Fordwich. You can go for stunning walks, take part in organised paddle boarding, canoeing or refresh yourself at the pub. You may also wish to treat yourself to a two Michelin star meal at the Fordwich Arms.
The house lends itself to families, couples, friends, ramblers, dog walkers, cyclists or shoppers! Canterbury has so much to offer from the world-famous cathedral steeped in fascinating historical references, city walls and other beautiful architecture, to the busy city centre shopping precinct set across a variety of cobbled streets and modern newly built outlets to peruse including the city’s very first roof top restaurant. For dining out, you can pretty much find every type of food from across the world and a large selection of boutique shops, which can be found on the street running parallel to the high street. There is also a large choice of traditional pubs dating back hundreds of years, bars and cafés too. Guest feedback is that the property is a ’home from home, where they instantly feel relaxed, is in an excellent location and provides a very central base for exploring the wider surrounding areas of Dover, Sandwich, Whitstable and Folkstone.
The property was decorated throughout in 2022 and is equipped with everything you could imagine making for a perfect holiday. The south west facing garden is a very good size, patio furniture, and a shady area to enjoy your morning coffee is provided along with barbecue, a few garden toys and fire pit. The owner has thoughtfully provided a baby/toddler bath and a rubber shower hose that can be run off the kitchen tap. Two dogs are also welcome, treats, leads, water/food bowls are provided for each dog along with print outs of local recommended walks.

Located in the historic town of Faversham, within the conservation area of the abbey, and as such, has been noted as one of the finest examples of a medieval street in Britain, where antique and craft shops, quaint tea rooms and old English pubs are in abundance.

There is also a small library with an ample supply of reading material to keep you going whilst you curl up in front of the open fire on a chilly evening. The ground floor is completed with a shower room with shower and toilet. Stairs from between the dining room and library lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, a spacious kingsize with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet and two double bedrooms. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet.

Take a stroll to the nearby brewery and tour one of England’s oldest breweries before sampling the delights at the home of the world’s largest fruit collection; there are also lots of dog walks around the area. The excitements of Canterbury are not far away, and the wildlife rich ’Oare Wildlife Marshes’ is also within easy reach. Closer still is the pretty town of Whitstable, famed for its oysters and safe swimming spots and plentiful water sports.

Boasting sea views from each room, the property has bi-fold doors opening onto decking where guests can enjoy sitting on the decking and overlooking the Thames Estuary.
