This large, imposing, Victorian, terraced property has been the subject of a full renovation in 2022. The entrance hall leads to the open plan living/dining room where you will find plenty of comfy seating, a gas fire, and Smart TV to cosy up in front of after a day at the seaside. The dining area has a large dining table and chairs to be able to sit and enjoy a hearty meal with the group. The stylish contemporary kitchen is located to the rear of the property and boasts all integrated appliances for convenience and a breakfast bar at the window. Morecambe is a seaside resort with a sandy beach and long promenade. On the north end of the promenade, you can find Happy Mount Park, open all year round. A traditional park with an adventure playground, summer splash area, sports pitches, events, and cafe. On the southern end of the promenade an internationally renowned Art Deco hotel, designed by Oliver Hill and restored for the 21st century. Non-residents can enjoy sophisticated glamour, afternoon tea and classy cocktails here. For wetter days or evening entertainment, a bowling alley is located on Central Promenade with its ten bowling lanes, a restaurant and a bar. If you wish to venture further, historic Lancaster is a short drive away. Lancaster Castle is a must see, as is a visit to Willamson Park and Butterfly House. West End Bay is ideally located for a trip to Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and of course The Lake District which are all areas of outstanding natural beauty. Beach ½ mile.

This former farm house at West Boundary Farm has been thoughtfully converted into two bright and comfortable holiday cottages (ref. 27557 and ref. 27558). An interconnecting door between the two cottages means that they can either be enjoyed independently or as one larger holiday home. Situated down a private lane on the outskirts of the small village of Pilling, these properties are ideal for exploring the North West coast. Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood and Poulton-le-Fylde are all within a short drive. Alternatively, the Trough of Bowland, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are all easily accessible by car. In the heart of the Ribble Valley and converted from a 19th century barn, these holiday homes, all with wonderful views, are situated on the owners’ working sheep farm (owners offer lamb feeding March until May) and set in 170 acres of environmentally managed farmland in the heart of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Barn (ref 27977) and Bramble Cottage (ref 27978) are semi-detached and The Stable (ref 30562) stands detached and are in a perfect location for wedding ceremonies, providing ideal accommodation. Just 2 miles from Whalley, with its historic buildings, charming shops, cafés and restaurants, it is the perfect base for exploring the Ribble Valley, Pendle and the Trough of Bowland. With walks from the doorstep, the area is also popular for cyclists and mountain bikers. There are several fisheries nearby including trout and fly fishing, and Whalley Golf Club is less than a mile away. Situated on a bridle path, there is stabling available on site (to be arranged directly with owner). Children will love Brockholes Nature Reserve, Bowland Wild Boar Park and the Roman museum at Ribchester. There is also a dry ski slope nearby at Pendle. This beautiful cottage, dating back to the early 1800s, is packed full of character and old-world charm, along with some wonderful original features.
Located in the pretty village of Calder Vale on the edge of the Forest of Bowland and with the River Calder running right through it, this pretty cottage is set in a beautiful location. With the river right in front and a lovely lake and bluebell wood to the side, it is ideal for those looking to enjoy its surrounding nature and tranquil environment. Throughout May, the ladies in the village provide teas for thirsty travellers who come from far and wide to see the famous bluebells, and here you can also expect to observe plenty of wildlife including ducks and a variety of birds from robins to swifts as you meander along the path through the wood.
Finished to a lovely, cosy standard, this original property is accessed via a private road and has off-road parking spaces for cars to the side of the property.
Once inside, you immediately enter a welcoming and cosy living room, which transports you back in time, yet offers a contemporary modern feel. The bathroom is quite spacious with a modern white suite comprising bath, with shower overhead, toilet and wash basin.
Outside, to the rear of the property, there are a few steps which lead onto a small patio area. There is a larger area to the front of the property also which is an ideal suntrap during the summer months. Garden furniture is provided so you can decide for yourself which is your preferred spot! The cottage also benefits from outside storage where you can house a bicycle or two.
Nearby is the historic market town of Garstang, 4½ miles, known for its tasty home-grown produce and individual shops, as well for being the first fairtrade village in the world. Here you can buy some traditional Lancashire home made treats! There are plenty of shops and pubs nearby. You can explore the town and watch the passing canal boats cruise along the peaceful Lancaster Canal, or if you fancy just a short walk (2 miles), you can walk from the village across the fields to Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens where there is a lovely café, gardens and a real working farm to see.
Why not visit the historic city of Lancaster, which has much to see and do? You can explore Lancaster Castle, one of the most captivating landmarks in the city along with its Georgian architecture. The seaside resorts of Morecambe and Blackpool are equally reachable, whilst the Forest of Bowland and, further afield, the wonderful Lake District National Park are within an hour’s drive and are also well worth a visit!
