Located in the rural hamlet of Moss Side on the outskirts of wonderfully cosmopolitan Lytham, this wonderful complex of six holiday cottages provide a perfect base for friends and family alike wanting a fabulous seaside getaway. Newly renovated in 2022 they’re set around a pretty courtyard and surrounded by superb countryside despite being just 3 miles from the coast.
There’s a variety of single and two-storey cottages all comfortably accommodating four guests, plus an additional three bedroom cottage that comes complete with hot tub. Careful thought and design has gone into each of the conversions making great use of original features where possible. Large windows have also been included to many of the open plan living arrangements to ensure a bright and airy space, and to really make the most of the countryside views.
The centre of ‘Leafy Lytham’ is less than 3 miles away, or a 4 minute train journey from Moss Side station which is around a 10 minute walk. Lytham is a lovely seaside town where you can enjoy everything from fish and chips to fine dining plus lots of coffee shops. It’s famed for its iconic ‘Windmill on the Green’, as well as the annual Lytham Festival and Lytham Proms. A direct train service will also take you to neighbouring St Annes in 10 minutes where you’ll find a huge beautiful sandy beach, and then in 20 minutes you’ll reach Blackpool. Blackpool is home to a massive amount of tourist attractions including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Tower, the Sandcastle Water Park, SEA LIFE Blackpool and of course the annual illuminations light show.
For any golfers, there’s plenty of championship courses in the area and the reeds and marshes of the Ribble Estuary are popular with birdwatchers and wildlife lovers. Swapping the coast once more for countryside, slightly further afield the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the South Lakes can be reached within an hour. Beach 5 miles. Through to the next room you will find a double bedroom with a bunk bed comprising a double and single bed. Then on to a good-sized kitchen where there is plenty of space to prepare those home cooked meals. There is also a modern and spacious bathroom benefitting from a walk-in shower, low level toilet and pedestal wash hand basin. The master bedroom consists of a modern double bed with TV at the bottom and two bedside tables.

Highfield Cottage can be found in a desirable rural location in the Lancashire village of Hambleton, near Poulton-le-Fylde. Detached and surrounded by stunning gardens the property boasts both the main house plus a quaint separate annex across the courtyard.
The accommodation is perfect for those special group occasions with the main house itself incredibly spacious, beautifully furnished and with a selection of living and dining rooms. The farmhouse style kitchen is equipped to cook a storm, and there’s a study for anyone needing to catch up on emails. The pièce de resistance however is its own fabulous bar area complete with darts board and full size snooker table. The first floor contains four bedrooms of which two have their own dressing rooms and en-suite facilities, and in the family bathroom you’ll find a spa bath for that extra bit of added luxury. There’s a final shower room on the ground floor and then across the court yard and up some steps is an open plan studio annex for those couples who prefer a little more privacy.
In Hambleton you’ll find a food serving pub, farm shop, grocery store and takeaway. A little further is the market town of Poulton-le-Fylde is where you’ll find plenty of shops and places to eat and drink together with a vibrant nightlife. The beautiful Fylde coast can be reached in around 15 minutes including Thornton Cleveleys with its old fashioned charm and promenade, Fleetwood with the Freeport Outlet Shopping Village and of course the razzle, dazzle, glitz and glamour of Blackpool. To name a few of the many Blackpool attractions you have the famous Tower and Ballroom, Blackpool Zoo, the Pleasure Beach, Coral Island, the Sea Life Centre and Madame Tussauds. Aside from being accessible for the coast, the location is also well-placed for exploring rural Lancashire. The Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland AONB, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks can all be reached around an hour. The city of Lancaster is just 16 miles away and Preston 18 miles. Further amenities can be found in the market towns of Kirkham and Poulton-Le-Fylde which are around a 15-minute drive and home to ample places to eat and drink, together with a vibrant nightlife.
The Fylde coastal resorts of Blackpool, Lytham, St Annes and Cleveleys can be reached in around a 20-minute drive and between them is much to see and do. In wonderfully cosmopolitan Lytham there is a variety of bars, cafés, boutique shops and restaurants, and in St Annes you will find a beautiful sandy beach with colourful beach huts. The area is internationally famous for golf and the towns also host various events throughout the year, including the Lytham Proms and St Annes Kite Festival. Blackpool needs little introduction with its many attractions including the famous tower, Madame Tussauds Waxworks, the Sealife Centre, Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo. For a change of scenery the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is much loved for its stunning countryside and picturesque villages, can be reached in about half an hour.
