The village is approximately ¾ mile and boasts a post office/shop and a pub providing excellent food.

Situated in the family, coastal resort of Sutton-on-Sea, on the main road where it joins Sandilands, these single-storey properties provide a lovely base for a holiday. With the sandy beaches within walking distance and shops and pub also a stroll away, there is no need to use the car, but if you want to explore further along the coast, the busy seaside resort of Skegness is 14 miles away, the market towns of Alford, 7 miles and Louth, 20 miles, are all worth a day out. There is also a nearby bus stop which is the main bus route from Skegness to Mablethorpe. There is a popular hotel with a bar close by with two tennis courts. Free fishing is also available nearby. There are great facilities including a large ménage and a British Eventing cross country course for schooling, as well as great hacking, both on-site and in the area. There is also friendly pigs, chickens and lambs at lambing time, great for families with children. This is also an excellent base from which to explore the area or simply to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this tranquil location.
Only a short drive away is the city of Lincoln, well known for its Christmas market and for the famous cathedral and castle, which also houses the Magna Carta visitors centre. The Bailgate area of Lincoln has many restaurants and shops and a walk down the hill into the centre of the city, takes you to the vibrant Brayford Wharf area. Newark Showground is approximately 10 minutes’ drive away and is well-known for its international antique fairs. Visit the seaside, spend a day in the Roman town of Horncastle, well known for its curio and antique shops, take a trip to the Georgian market town of Louth which still boasts three markets a week, or drive to Lincoln with its cathedral which was used in the filming of The Da Vinci Code as well as explore the castle and the Magna Carta Visitor Centre, also the Bomber Memorial Centre. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is based at Coningsby, just 15 miles away, which has a visitor centre. For the more energetic, there are good walks and cycle routes from the door.
