For days out, visit the coast for miles of sandy beaches or head inland, 28 miles to the city of Lincoln, with its spectacular cathedral, castle, popular Bailgate area for shopping, restaurants and bars. Or head down Steep Hill to the Brayford Waterside where you can watch the boats cruise by. After a day exploring you can cosy up in front of the wood burner or relax on the large terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet, with very little light pollution its great for the star gazers among you. Attractions in the area include, Cadwell park race track, Market Rasen Horse racing, Woodhall Spa gold as well as home of the dam busters, Horncastle, antique centre of Lincolnshire and Spilsby Sir John Franklins birth place. Sommersby Tennysons birth place, Coningsby home of the Battle of Briton flight and the Euro fighter. Best of all the Lincolnshire wolds, go out the gate, turn right and you dont have to see a main road let alone cross one.

There is excellent coarse fishing just 300 yards away and golf (handicap required) is available at the well-known Seacroft links golf course and Northshore (no handicap), which are both nearby. Within easy reach are the famous Battle of Britain Aircraft Museum and the East Kirby Lancaster Museum, RSPB Gibraltar Point, NT Gunby Hall, Snipedale Nature Reserve and Forest, and the historical city of Lincoln with its cathedral, castle and excellent shopping. Antique hunting can be enjoyed at Horncastle 18 miles away, and Louth offers a lovely traditional market town. Skegness and Ingoldmells with its seaside attractions, is just 2 miles. These 5 holiday cabins, each with furnished verandah for dining al fresco, are located 7 miles from Boston, and 20 miles from Skegness. They are situated just outside the small village of Old Leake where there are two pubs, a supermarket and a children’s play area. The site is ½ mile from the A52 with a regular bus service to Boston and Skegness.
Sheepgate Equestrian Centre is 2 miles away, where National Dressage competitions are held. The local RSPB reserve at Freiston Shore is 5 miles away, whilst Leverton village to the south has a café, supermarket and pub.
There are many country lanes around the site which are ideal for walking and cycling. The cabins overlook an established fishing lake (permit provided), however, guests will also be required to have their own Environment Agency fishing license. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

On the edge of the village of Hogsthorpe, close to Chapel St Leonards and the beach, this detached bungalow enjoys open views from the conservatory across the fields where you can sit back and relax. There is plenty to see and do for all the family in the area, with the North Sea Observatory at Chapel St Leonards on the beach, which is well worth a visit. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just along the coast, as is Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells with its huge funfair and market. Gibraltar Point nature reserve is approximately a 30-minute drive away to the south of Skegness, and inland there are the market towns of Alford, Louth and Horncastle to explore. If you are bringing your dog on holiday there is an enclosed area to the rear, and the large kitchen/dining room provides a great space for all the family to be together at meal times. Rutland Water also offers various water sports throughout the year, and the circular track around the reservoir provides walking and cycling for all ages with bikes available for hire on-site. Each lodge has its own private hot tub positioned on the decked veranda overlooking the fishing lakes, which are all well stocked with mature carp up to 20lbs, barble up to 11lbs and bream up to 7lbs, as well as crucian carp, chub, tench, ide, rudd, roach and perch. For those that don’t want to fish, there is plenty to see and do in the area. Attractions in the area include the Lincolnshire Wolds, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby or Horncastle, a 30-minute drive, which is famous for its many antique and collectables shops. Lincoln Cathedral, where ’The Da Vinci Code’ was filmed with Tom Hanks, is about an hour’s drive and there are many excellent walks and cycle routes throughout the area. Beach 5 miles.
