The properties are just 2 miles from Burgh le Marsh and only 5 miles from the seaside resort of Skegness with its excellent sandy beaches, fun fair, amusements, theatre, a seal sanctuary and Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve. Each lodge has its own private hot tub positioned on the decked veranda overlooking the fishing lakes, which are all well stocked with mature carp up to 20lbs, barble up to 11lbs and bream up to 7lbs, as well as crucian carp, chub, tench, ide, rudd, roach and perch. For those that don’t want to fish, there is plenty to see and do in the area. Attractions in the area include the Lincolnshire Wolds, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby or Horncastle, a 30-minute drive, which is famous for its many antique and collectables shops. Sunningdale Cottage is a detached, single-storey bungalow with a large garden set close to the centre and seafront in Chapel St Leonards, and is just a short walk to the beach. It makes a great base for a family holiday and is situated on a popular stretch of the east coast between the seaside towns of Skegness and Mablethorpe. A seal sanctuary, Hardy’s Animal Farm and Fantasy Island, are all within a short drive. There are fishing lakes, golf, walks and cycle routes nearby. Beach ¼ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

This cottage provides a comfy and cosy base for guests to explore this fantastic largely rural area and all its attractions and history. This Grade II listed, 300 years old, stone-built, semi-detached cottage was built 300 years ago in 1705 as a bakery serving the then highway outside which was part of the Great North Road to Scotland. The cottage is a little quirky and rustic, with quite high ceilings due to its origin as a shop. The cottage is close to the A1 Trunk Road making it easily accessible to the north and south. For those who want to use public transport, there is a bus stop just 85 yards away with buses to Grantham with its station on the East Coast London to Scotland main rail line route.
This wonderful abode is located in the village of Colsterworth, close to Isaac Newton’s home, the historic National Trust Woolsthorpe Manor and Grantham, which has a busy Saturday farmers market.
