A real feature of the property is the stunning sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows with views as far as the eye can see. Holmeside Barn has four good sized bedrooms across both the first and ground floors with various layouts to suit the whole groups sleeping arrangements, and the ground floor bedrooms have access to the garden. In addition, one of the bedrooms has an en-suite.
To the rear of the property there is a large lawned garden, complete with hidden ditch, so the view is uninterrupted, leading to a large lower lawn complete with a children’s play area. Holmeside Barn is surrounded by wildlife and livestock, so we ask that only well behaved dogs are brought. The garden area is not enclosed!

In a quiet location down a private drive, this second floor holiday apartment, renovated in 2020, is part of a converted mill set within Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and with the other properties enjoys 8 acres of private grounds in an idyllic setting. This apartment boasts fantastic views over the River Aire which feeds the trout lake and millstream, adding charm and life to the grounds. Malham Cove, with its limestone amphitheatre and the gorge of Gordale Scar, are within easy walking distance, as is Malham Tarn, one of the largest natural areas of water in Yorkshire. Also, Settle is close by, where you can take a trip on the Settle to Carlisle Railway. Quaker Cottage is situated on the street which runs along the harbour and down to Tate Hill beach, lined with quirky independent shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as traditional pubs. For guests who enjoy meals out you will be spoilt for choice. The house is next to the Quaker Church, which has now been converted into a popular Italian restaurant, originally the chaplain would have resided here with his family.
This quaint property has been lovingly refurnished throughout to provide guests with a welcoming and comfortable stay. On the ground floor there is a deli which is open through the day. Quaker House has its own separate entrance with stairs leading up to the open-plan living area, where you have a sofa in front of an electric fire and TV. Through an archway you have the kitchen which is compact yet well equipped with everything you could wish for, ready to whip up romantic meals to share. There is a fold-down table with two chairs, which is just the right size for couples.

For the more energetic the Yorkshire Dales are on your doorstep, whether you head to Wensleydale or Swaledale, with walks and hikes to suit all abilities. Eldin Hall Cottages are set in a peaceful area and have been added more recently to the restored old Victorian waterworks. Situated between Cayton and Cayton Bay, the cottages are an ideal base to visit the east coast, North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds. The beach at Cayton Bay is less than a mile away (2 miles by road) and just a little further up the coast is the popular seaside town of Scarborough. The resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away. The walks along the clifftops are spectacular and form part of the Cleveland Way walk. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs attracts visitors from worldwide and is just a short drive from the cottages. Here you can see puffins, kittiwakes and lots of other migrating seabirds.
