New in 2019. Roseberry View Lodge Retreat is set in landscaped grounds around a private lake with views across the Cleveland Hills to local beauty spots, Roseberry Topping and Captain Cooks Monument. Guests have shared use of a clear fronted sauna which also looks on to Roseberry Topping.

A public footpath runs approximately 1 mile through fields to the village of Great Ayton with it’s range of local shops, pubs and locally renowned ice cream shop and pie shop. The kitchen is open plan with the dining area, where you can create all of your favourite meals. Stepping outside you have a small, enclosed patio area with a separate large lawned garden with views over the rolling countryside with the sea on the horizon. It also has a boot room/bike store perfect for storing your outdoor attire after a long day exploring.

Starting with Skinningrove with a peaceful beautiful beach, which is great for fossil hunting; further along the coast is gorgeous Runswick Bay, picturesque Staithes, the surfers’ paradise of Saltburn and the historic seafaring town of Whitby with its long golden beach stretching to Sandsend. For walkers there are walking trails across the national park, including the Cleveland Way along the cliff tops, or Roseberry Topping which offers stunning panoramic views. If you are fascinated by history visit Guisborough Priory and Whitby Abbey, as well as museums including Staithes Heritage Museum, Whitby’s Captain Cook Museum and Hutton le Holes Folk Museum. Converted from a former granary, The Granary (ref W41008) occupies the first floor of a detached barn conversion, with views towards Castleton Rigg. Stylish and delightfully furnished, retaining many original features with a vaulted ceiling, low beams and solid oak floors. The Carthouse (ref W41503) is spacious and occupies the ground floor of the detached barn conversion, whilst The Byre (ref W7733) is an attractive single storey, detached property with a multi-fuel stove in the living room, and offers wonderful views over the dale. They are all tastefully furnished and decorated and offer excellent holiday accommodation. Ideally situated in the beautiful North York Moors National Park, a scenic drive along the country roads takes you to the historic port of Whitby. The area abounds with smugglers coves and quaint fishing villages untouched by the passing years. Walk direct from the door over the nearby moors or take a 5-minute stroll into the nearby traditional market town of Hawes.
