With chickens, horses and some pet sheep, children and, of course adults are welcome to visit the animals once the owner has explained the workings of the farm. A real bonus is the quirky little shepherds hut to the side of the cottage which is perfect for sitting in and watching the sunsets, chilled with a book or glass of wine, it’s a lovely extra. The owners have given attention to detail to provide the comforts in this homely property, which is all on one level. The two gardens for relaxing are lovely if you want to stay in or a bonus to come back to after a day out exploring where you can admire some countryside views. Most of the windows have views of either animals, countryside or the garden.
    There are ample supermarkets, local shops, and restaurants all within a few minutes drive and the Metro is easily reached for exploring further afield. Within a few minutes are plenty of village pubs and only a little further you have Tynemouth with award-winning beaches and Whitley Bay, both with lovely promenades and cafés.
