Fully renovated in 2020 to a high standard, natural traditional materials have been used whilst updating the cottage for comfortable modern living. Situated opposite St Paul’s Church in the old village centre of North Sunderland, now part of Seahouses, a mile from Seahouses North Beach. The cottage is set back from the road and enjoys a very quiet and secluded location, yet the bustling harbour and seafront are just ten minute’s walk away. This cottage features exposed stone walls and beams in most rooms and is packed with original features. The exposed wooden lintels are derived from ship’s timbers and the original 200-year-old wood floors upstairs have been restored and sanded. The lighting is mounted in exposed steel conduit with Edison-style bulbs. Downstairs the floors are limestone flags throughout. The kitchen has a wide range of newly installed high gloss kitchen units, granite worktops and a vaulted ceiling.
