    The location is central to many walking routes, with the most popular being the Manifold Valley just over the hill; from the door you can take on different hikes each day, never needing to take the car if you don’t wish. The nearest village of Hartington lies just a few miles away and features a famous cheese shop which is a must visit, you can also hop on the Tissington Trail or the High Peak Trail. Towns such as Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell are all close and fun to explore as well as the historic house of Chatsworth.
