The mills are full of history, with links to the famous pottery industry close by. Take a short drive into Uttoxeter which has a huge array of shops and restaurants to enjoy, don’t forget to visit the racecourse too if you fancy a flutter. Nearby is the Churnet Valley Railway, originally opened in 1849 and now an attraction for steam enthusiasts and families alike!     Throwley Cottage has a delightful location in a very rural area, a great spot for some peace and quiet and not to be disturbed. As you arrive there is ample parking and you are greeted by the vast fields that surround this home. The property itself is very traditional with original features and space. On the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook your favourite meals during your stay with a dining table to seat all guests, there is also a back door leading out to the rear garden. The living room has comfortable seating, a TV and an open fire. There is also a shower room located on the ground floor.
    Upstairs there are three bedrooms, made up of a double, a twin and lastly a double bed and single bed in the third bedroom. All rooms have a homely feel to them and have stunning views across the Peak District landscape. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor with a bath and shower attachment. Outside within the fenced garden the kids can run free, play garden games or let the dogs enjoy the space this property offers. There is a bike rack too for you to store your bicycles while you aren’t on the trails.

    Alton Towers theme park lies just a couple of miles from Ramsor Farm and makes for a great day out for all the family with a mixture of rides for different ages as well as Splash Landings water park. Another great place to visit is Peak Wildlife Park where you come face to face with iconic species and have a ‘walk through’ experience.
