Ramsor Farm is situated on the edge of the Peak District and made up of three adjoining sandstone barn conversions, all beautifully finished. A quick 15-minute journey into Ashbourne means it is a must visit for your time here, you can amble around the town enjoying the shops, cafes and pubs or head to Dovedale, which is famous for the stepping stones to cross the river. There are some good trail routes nearby such as Tissington Trail and High Peak trail, both good for walking and cycling. There are walking routes take are directly from the properties too in which you can walk for miles or keep it short and sweet, whichever you prefer.
Alton Towers theme park lies just a couple of miles from Ramsor Farm and makes for a great day out for all the family with a mixture of rides for different ages as well as Splash Landings water park. White Park Cottage is the largest of the two barn conversions on Broad Ecton Farm. The ground floor has an open plan, social space made up of the kitchen, dining and living space. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need during your stay to rustle up your favourite meals. The living area has comfortable seating and a TV plus a dining table with chairs. There is warming underfloor heating throughout the property. The first double bedroom is located on the ground floor, up a few steps and has an en-suite shower room. On the first floor are two further bedrooms made up of two doubles, and a family bathroom with shower over bath.
The location is central to many walking routes, with the most popular being the Manifold Valley just over the hill; from the door you can take on different hikes each day, never needing to take the car if you don’t wish. Aside of walks, there are many tourist attractions such as Alton Towers theme park. The nearest village of Hartington lies just a few miles away and features a famous cheese shop which is a must visit, you can also hop on the Tissington Trail or the High Peak Trail. Towns such as Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell are all close and fun to explore as well as the historic house of Chatsworth.

Throwley Cottage has a delightful location in a very rural area, a great spot for some peace and quiet and not to be disturbed. As you arrive there is ample parking and you are greeted by the vast fields that surround this home. The property itself is very traditional with original features and space. On the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook your favourite meals during your stay with a dining table to seat all guests, there is also a back door leading out to the rear garden. The living room has comfortable seating, a TV and an open fire. There is also a shower room located on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, made up of a double, a twin and lastly a double bed and single bed in the third bedroom. All rooms have a homely feel to them and have stunning views across the Peak District landscape. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor with a bath and shower attachment. Outside within the fenced garden the kids can run free, play garden games or let the dogs enjoy the space this property offers. There is a bike rack too for you to store your bicycles while you aren’t on the trails.
Throwley Cottage is located near Ilam, Ashbourne, just a short distance from Dovedale and 15 minutes from Alton Towers theme park. Easter Lane Cottage is a beautiful, historic property, set in a quiet spot on the edge of the picturesque village of Butterton in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The cottage lies in the south-west part of the White Peak and is an excellent base for those wishing to enjoy all the Peak District has to offer. The cottage is within easy reach of towns such as Leek, Ashbourne and Buxton which all are worth a visit. They all offer independent shops and cafés, as well as high street names, plenty of restaurants and bars, and Buxton also has the opera house, where you can watch shows making for a good night out. There are also several National Trust Properties nearby and the Peak Wildlife Park is within 5 miles. If you are more of a thrill seeker, then Alton Towers is a mere 10-mile drive.
Butterton sits high above the Manifold Valley. From the cottage, you can get straight onto this trail and walk for miles, connecting to other neighbouring trails. Some of the most beautiful scenery in the Peak District is within easy reach. Tissington Trail - popular with walkers and cyclists - is only 5 miles away. The local inn in Butterton is less than a quarter of a mile from the cottage and offers delicious food and ales. The property has been renovated to a high standard in 2023 with sustainable materials and underfloor heating to the ground floor.
As you drive through Butterton, to get to the cottage you pass through a ford, and from there you can see this inviting and welcoming cottage. There is ample parking outside and the stream runs by creating a relaxing atmosphere as you listen to the sounds of the water whilst enjoying the large garden this property offers. Inside the house is a kitchen with all the appliances and equipment you should need to make your favourite meal, a dining table that seats all guests, and the cute addition of a cushioned window bench; the dining room has patio doors opening it up to the garden, which has great views through fields to the distant hills. The sitting room is a comfortable and cosy space with a roaring wood burning stove to warm up in front of, after a day of walking or exploring. On the first floor is the master bedroom with a kingsize bed, a second bedroom with kingsize zip and link bed (which can be made into twin beds upon request), and the third bedroom with a full sized bunk bed. There is a family bathroom with walk-in shower. The ceilings have been opened up giving this first floor the ‘wow’ factor. It is a truly unique cottage bursting with character, perfectly placed in this quaint village, by the stream for pure relaxation and to take in what the Peak District is all about.

Headlands Farm is a beautifully renovated home. On the ground floor is a cosy living room, with ample seating for all guests and large flatscreen TV, which opens into the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is well equipped and has all the appliances and equipment you need to rustle up your favourite homemade meals, with large patio doors and windows so you can really take in the far reaching countryside views. This property features two double bedrooms and shower room on the first floor, a third bedroom on the ground floor which has an adult bunk bed, and bathroom with a bath with shower over. Each bedroom has a Smart TV and fantastic views.
Headlands Farm has a very easy and central location, straight from the door you can roam the hills and walk for miles, there are many routes and trials nearby too. Hop in the car and you can be in Buxton town centre in under 10 minutes, this town is full of independent shops and cafés, it has delicious restaurants with all cuisines on offer. Buxton Opera House has shows on weekly and take a stroll around the Pavilion Gardens or visit the refurbished Crescent Spa for some rest and recreation ! Other neighbouring towns include Leek, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock, all offering a variety of activities to suit all the family.
