Grindon is home to a host of fantastic walking routes, it is a peaceful and tranquil rural location with local pubs around you in Butterton, Warslow and Waterfall. This property began as a stable, then became a workshop, until the owners wanted to do more with the space and open it up to visitors given the stunning area it is in.
The property has views of Thor’s Cave and is a fantastic base for your Peak District getaway. The owners really have thought of everything and had their guest’s comfort at the forefront of their minds when planning the renovations. This welcoming semi-detached holiday cottage, adjacent to the owner’s farmhouse but with its private garden, enjoys uninterrupted countryside views as far as the eye can see! Hollins Lane is alongside the property and is perfect for a leisurely country walk, especially for any four-legged friends.
The scenic Churnet Valley has steam trains, wildlife reserves, and miles of splendid walking trails, through unspoilt woodlands, across rolling green fields and along the Cauldon Canal towpath which also follows the heritage railway line and River Churnet. The Roaches towering over the Market Town of Leek, provide spectacular views of Tittesworth Reservoir and the surrounding countryside. Well worth a visit is beautiful Dovedale, well-known for its stepping stones, and nearby Ilam Park and Gardens where you can relax after a long walk or have a lovely picnic.

The School House is a truly wonderful detached, Grade II listed stone built cottage situated in a rural position in the hamlet of Bradnop, less than 1 mile from the picturesque Peak District National Park. Thoughtfully and extensively renovated throughout to offer spacious, comfortable accommodation and even boasts its very own private hot tub for guests use. Many of the original features have been carefully retained including beams, exposed stone walls and fireplace to name but a few. There is a well-kept enclosed garden at the front of the property and a paddock area to the rear.
The small and pretty rural hamlet of Bradnop is situated on the western edge of the Peak District National Park. Close by you will find the market town of Leek with its array of antique shops and quirky crafts.
