The much celebrated and photographed villages of Lavenham and Long Melford are close by, as are Ipswich, with its picturesque quay, Bury St Edmunds, with its famous abbey and amazing Christmas market, and Newmarket, where you can enjoy horse races and more.
Nature lovers should take the time to visit Thetford Forest, where the more adventurous can also experience Go Ape. Coastal lovers can explore the Suffolk Heritage Coast, starting with Aldeburgh and then traveling to Southwold with its pier and painted beach huts. After a busy day, you can return to Blackberry Cottage where you can be sure of a good night’s sleep.

Even has a mainline railway station, so you can leave the car behind and jump on the train to visit Norwich City, and Liverpool Street, Central London.
The pod is fully equipped with a comfy double bed, fresh bedding and towels which are left for your arrival. In the living area, there is a sofa bed for an additional two guests (please note the pod sizing is suited more to a small family or two adults). A modern shower room complete with toilet and hand basin. The compact kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals. Located on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk the surrounding area offers plenty of activities to do and see. Excellent carp fishing is available on-site; be sure to bring your rods! Great walking, cycling and bird watching too available locally. So many eateries and delightful market towns and villages to explore. Wonderful sandy beaches to be found along the coastline, including the lovely coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold with piers 35 miles away. Explore Redgrave and Lopham Fen, RSPB Minsmere and Walberswick just a few of the favourites for nature lovers. Bressingham Steam and Gardens 9-minute drive. Wroxham, capital of the National Park Norfolk Broads is 35 miles. The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is 19 miles. Shops, pubs and supermarkets 2½miles.

Located in the ever popular village of Pakefield near Lowestoft, Florence Cottage is an original fisherman’s cottage, wonderfully renovated by the owners. An open plan living/dining room lends itself well to socialable evenings after a day of exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The wood burner is also an added bonus for those cooler winter evenings.

The cottage is only 500 yards from the beach, where dogs are welcome all year round, and the beach is a blend of sand dunes and wide open space. Further south, during the summer the promenade is very popular, with the Claremont Pier a big hit with little ones (and big kids!).

Lowestoft is the most easterly point in the UK and is known as the ’sunrise coast’. You are ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Southwold, Aldeburgh, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and Walberswick for a spot of crabbing. For those looking for fun on the water, Oulton Broad is nearby, the southern gateway to the Norfolk Broads National Park, where fishing, day boats and riverside pubs and restaurants are the usual haunts of guests to the area.
