A magical day can be spent at Thorpeness, where you can take out a rowing boat on the Mere to visit the many islands named after the Peter Pan characters. If history is your thing, then a visit to Framlingham castle, a 12th-century fortress, is worth a visit as is Snape Maltings, set on the banks of the River Alde with its stylish shops and antique centre. In less than an hour you can be in the historic city of Norwich for a bit of retail therapy or to see the historic sights, there is also a bustling market.

Barn End Cottage is a luxurious semi-detached barn conversion set in the grounds of the owner’s home, and was completely renovated in 2019. It is all on the ground floor and wherever possible the owners have retained the barns original features. On approach, you will come up a private drive flanked by natural paddocks. The property is ahead of you with originally styled shutter doors over the floor to ceiling windows. The open plan living space is light and airy with beams but equally cosy with the wood burner.
