This stylish, self-contained, open-plan barn has been tastefully furnished and fitted out to the highest standard. There is a kingsize bed making sleeping a dream, a luxurious walk-in shower room and a wonderfully spacious living area with sofa bed. The Shotley Peninsula has an abundance of walks in both the countryside and along the river, as well as two marinas at Woolverstone and Shotley. Pin Mill, just half a mile away, lies within the Suffolk Coast and heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is a designated conservation area. From Shotley Marina, which is just 4 miles away, you can jump on the foot ferry to either Harwich or Felixstowe, this is run between April to October, weather permitting. Whilst at Shotley Marina you can pop into the Ganges Museum which is dedicated to the 160,000 boys who passed through the gates and climbed the mast, as featured on Blue Peter when John Noakes attempted the climb. There are many artefacts to be seen.
Whilst in the area pay a visit to Ewarton Church and Hall, where legend has it Anne Boleyn’s heart is buried. Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk, is only 6 miles away. Here you will find lots of shops, theatres, museums, the beautiful Christchurch Park, mansion and lake. A visit to see Hilly Ridge Alpacas is a delight, and the famous Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park is nearby.

Located on the coastal road between Woodbridge and Snape in the Suffolk coastal area of outstanding beauty. This Victorian farm cottage was built in 1872 and is located close to many of the best tourist attractions in Suffolk.
The cottage is full of character being a period building, it has a beautiful log burner and traditional comfortable furnishings with a modern, contemporary and clean decor. There is a small bathroom downstairs with a bath and a powerful hot shower too, there are three spacious bedrooms although the cottage comfortably hosts up to four people. The garden is large with comfortable outdoor furniture for you to enjoy your coffee at sunrise and wine at sunset. A flock of curious, funny, welcoming and happy hens and a cockerel live on the property and lay THE BEST eggs for your breakfast, which you are welcome to collect and eat. There are so many attractions nearby such as the UFO walk in the well-known Rendlesham forest, the famous “Sutton Hoo” viking burial site (Netflix made a popular series about it) 5 minutes down the road. We are only 13 minutes away from the nearest beach, shingle street, and 18 minutes from Aldeburgh, a popular tourist destination. In addition to a plethora of top-quality restaurants, pubs, and Michelin star eateries, Woodbridge was voted the best place to live in the east in 2021. The village of Hoxne, 5 minutes’ drive (2 miles) has a pub with restaurant, a village post office, deli and shop. Country walks are available all around and the Suffolk heritage coastline has fabulous beaches to enjoy. Explore Southwold, a fantastic seaside town with pier, historic lighthouse and high street lined with independent shops and boutiques. RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Heath offer opportunities for spotting birds and connecting with wildlife, with excellent walks available. For a quieter sandy beach, head to Covehithe, and for great days out, visit Snape Maltings, Framlingham Castle, Eye Castle, Halesworth Museum, Yoxford Antiques Centre and Gardens and Easton Farm Park.
The vibrant market towns of Bungay and Beccles boast independent boutiques and chain shops and the weekly market is excellent for all things local. At Beccles there is an open air heated outdoor swimming pool, popular with many local swimmers and gateway to the famous Norfolk Broads National Park. It is all on the ground floor and wherever possible the owners have retained the barns original features. On approach, you will come up a private drive flanked by natural paddocks. The property is ahead of you with originally styled shutter doors over the floor to ceiling windows. The open plan living space is light and airy with beams but equally cosy with the wood burner. To the back of the barn you can enjoy the private garden with a sun terrace. In the grounds, guests can enjoy walks but also have access to the owner’s tennis court.
