New Inn House is also ideal for visiting Cheltenham, and the Gustav Holst Museum, Evesham – reputedly Lady Godiva’s site of burial, and Tewkesbury.
In addition to the many historic Cotswold villages and towns, the surrounding countryside is excellent terrain for walking; a climb to the summit of the Worcestershire Beacons affords marvellous views of lush green Hereford and the flat expanses of the Severn Valley. Shutford has a lovely village pub and is a short distance from both Banbury and Chipping Norton. Explore sleepy villages of honey-coloured stone and lively market towns; visit stunning palaces, castles and country houses; walk along rural historic trails, footpaths and bridleways to explore ancient woodlands and wild flower meadows. Locally produced cheeses, meats and drinks can be sampled at the gastro pubs and inns, traditional cafés and fine dining restaurants within a 20 mile radius of Monastery Barn.
There is a wealth of visitor attractions and leisure activities in the area including Blenheim Palace, British Motor Museum, Broughton Castle and gardens, Hook Norton Brewery, Daylesford Organic Farm, Soho Farmhouse, Rollright Stones and Silverstone Race Circuit.
